So, games list so far:

Quantum Break
Forza 5
Madden
Fifa
NBA
UFC
CoD: Ghosts

Quantum Break is the only one that interests me. Looking forward to E3.

some of that did look like actual gameplay, though. like that part when he was in the water sliding down a street.

On the Spike post game show, they confirmed it doesn't have to be connected to play games.

yeah, he said something to the effect of that it obviously needs to be connected for multiplayer, but it is not a requirement.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! :jawdrop: The video for Kinect in that Wired link is incredible. Make sure you guys watch it for sure. The new Kinect can track you in the DARK!!!!! As much as the Kinect for me is secondary based on limitations of my room, that being size and light. It appears the new one SHOULD easily solve this problem. After watching the video I cannot see how this thing debuts for less than $499, that is at least my prediction assuming what I hear people here saying that the Kinect definitely comes with every system.

Looks like no cablecard. It will basically be like GoogleTV, using HDMI pass through to put an overlay on your cable company's set top box signal. Disappointing.

So CoD: Ghosts is written by the writer of Syriana and Traffic, could be interesting.

Also, the first Kinect could track you in the dark. It didn't use the camera to track you, it used all those little infrared lasers.

Sounds like that depends on the publisher and whether they choose to have some computing take place in the cloud.

It also sure sounds like it renders used games obsolete. Hopefully someone grills them on it and gets a definitive statement. From the Wired piece, it sure sounds like a safe bet to guess you can play a game two ways, 1) be the first one to install it from a new disc, 2) install it from a used disc, but pay for it upon installation.

I am irrationally excited about the prospect of having a doggy buddy in that Call of Duty game. We need more dog pals in games.

Looks good! 500gb is more than enough room, I don't understand all the thumbs down for that. I use maybe 25-30gb of space and thats only because of Rock Band. 100gb is plenty for a gaming device, 500gb is insane. The TV stuff is neat, but I don't even have a cable box so I guess I'm screwed unless you can screw the coax cable into the back, which I don't think you can do. BC is useless, so again I don't care...I have a 360 for that. No used games would be the worst feature, but we shall see on that. Overall, much tighter and better than the Sony event, and we saw the system. Sign me up for a preorder.
