In a multitask-y sort of way. You can suspend the game to, say, answer a Skype call, and resume it afterwards with everything as it was. It goes beyond pausing.

Pretty much "pause" the game and leave the house for work. Come home, and instantly resume without any loading etc.

With the VMs this is pretty simple to implement for the Xbox One.

Hopefully it won't be that hard for Sony, and it doesn't become their "multiplayer" this new generation. (As in they had to patch PSN to badly support some of the same features Xbox Live had).

They said Minecraft is coming to the XO but have they given any ETA? My daughter is now flipping her shit when I mentioned I would be disconnecting the 360 for a while when the XO comes.

Woe unto me. I guess I didn't know Minecraft was vital for a 9 year old's survival.

I believe all that's been said is that it's targeted for the launch window. No specific date yet.

I might. My issue though is then messing with cords, number of outlets, and just generally space.

I will probably put a smaller TV in our library and move it up there eventually... but then I have to hunt down a wifi thing for the console or just leave it offline.
