Youtube for gamers pretty much. Basically a site that has videos and live streams of a lot of games and e-sports tournaments.

They did a lot of live stream stuff for League of Legends and Blizzard games.

Twitch.tv, for live streaming of video games being played. It's big on PCs, less so on consoles, since current consoles require a separate device to capture the output video and stream it online.

from Joystiq:

Twitch stream crosses to PlayStation 4
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.c...itchps4530.jpg

Twitch, the ever-growing streaming service (can we simply call it "ubiquitous" at this point?), is making its way to PlayStation 4. Announced during Sony's Gamescom press conference today, PS4 owners worldwide will be able to use the share button to broadcast gameplay to their Twitch channels and to believe in life after love. Users will also be able to view content streamed to the Twitch service. All services will be available for free.

"Through this partnership we are paving the way for every PS4 gamer to become both a broadcaster and an avid spectator of amazing content," said Twitch CEO Emmett Shear.

Twitch integration was previously announced for Xbox One during E3. Twitch continues to branch out to any platforms that will support it. Integration with refrigerators and toasters is planned for 2014.

E3 Microsoft: "12/26...take it or leave it, bitch!"

Current Microsoft: "11/14, if that's okay with you, sir."

I'm betting MS was waiting for Sony to announce it for the PS4 before announcing their date. They didn't want to be unexpectedly undercut again.

Expect MS to announce a release date a few days before the PS4, and another round of delays for select European countries.

Which part of the Xbox One E3 presentation was focused on media, again?

I just pre-ordered an X1 and an extra controller from Best Buy. I didn't see a pre-order available yet for Titanfall.

Considering the Dead Rising 3 trailer said coming in November, that's a good indicator of a DUAL FUCKING LAUNCH.

The Xbox will launch on November 5th-7th with CoD. They can't really go any earlier, they can't go the week of PS4, and they can't go after since it is too close to Thanksgiving/BF.

Even though COD can lick a ballsack, I would love to see consoles go back to including a pack in game from the get go, and I ain't just talking Hexic.

Man, catching up on all this stuff after being stuck at work today is tough. So far:
-Zoo Tycoon actually looks kinda fun, I generally like those building/sim games, even thought it's a bit childish
-I guess reports are that the Kinect 2.0 actually works well
-Titanfall looks nice but I still don't like multiplayer games :(
-Oddworld guys just signed up for the Indie Game program!

While there is some great stuff coming, the $100 price difference is still big enough to make me flinch. If the two consoles were the same price, I'd go with the One. Since they aren't (and the first thing I have to do when I open the One is throw a $100 camera in the garbage), I'm sticking with PS4.

It's still nice to see Microsoft correct a lot of their mistakes.

That would be really nice, but I'm skeptical that it'd be CoD if we score a free game on these shores. I'd expect any game we get, if it happens at all, to be rated E or T. I'll gladly take a free copy of CoD, though, so I wouldn't mind being wrong. :)

I think he means that it'll launch at the same time.

Surely he can't mean they would throw it in with the console. Not in a billion years. For one thing, it's an M-rated game.

Re: Xbox One: The Only Choice for Rational Gamers

I don't think he means CoD will be bundled in for free; just that they launch on the same day.

With numerous reports saying the Dev kits arent even fully completed yet, I dont see any way they can have a launch earlier than 11/27...maybe even into december

the guy CBOAT? posted that on sunday I think..about the dev kits

They'll launch before black Friday, even if they only have enough units to fill preorders. I'd almost say the same thing for CoD...too important for the Xbox brand to miss that date.

He isn't having a great week, but I do think he's a low level insider based on his track record. We'll see.

Two days before Black Friday? That would be dumb of them unless retailers were going to hold back some stock to be able to sell during that weekend.
