This is such a tired argument. There are people that throw down $60 for games that have maybe 10 hours of gameplay.

If you enjoy running raids, playing crucible, IB etc. then you're looking at way more playing time. Oh well, haters gonna hate. They could offer you a 1,000 hours of gameplay and you'd shit on it.

yep, Uncharted 4 (arguably my favorite franchise) lasted me about a week of play

I meant less than half the content of Destiny's full game. You're the one's with the tired arguments bringing up other games.

Excuse me if I'm not so easily pacified like you are by running the same raids over and over again. I crave new content like areas, guns and enemies. It's people like you that let developers get away with shortchanging us.

It has new story missions, a new area, weapons, enemies, strikes, crucible game mode, mp maps, raid, etc. All of the things you say you crave.

Year 1 of Destiny: $60 + $35 Expansion Pass = $95 for all the content

Year 2 Of Destiny: $40 for all the content

Year 3 Of Destiny: $30 for all the content?

The question mark there is key. Much like last summer, we don't know what's coming after the next expansion. And while we could look at what Bungie did this year as model, it's not set in stone. Activision talked about getting more content out there on a consistent basis for the game, which could change the model in Year 3.

But for now, we could assume that $30 covers us until Destiny 2. My only issue with it at this point is that there is only 1 new strike. Taken King had 4 (for PS people anyway), and gave us a 5th in the April Update. Plus, we got updated versions of 3 other strikes (plus one more in April).

But there's plenty of time for Bungie to spell things out a bit better. At this point, I'm on the fence like I was a year ago. In fact, I'd say I'm even more on the side of not going forward than I was last year because my plus subscription is running out in July, so it's basically an $80 bill for me to keep going.

I will have to keep that Plus deal in mind. But considering my headphones just died as well (fucking usb connector broke on it), another expense has just been added.

But before I mourn the loss of my Pulse headset, I can present the last work it helped me accomplish: The Xur Report for this week.

Xur is located in the hangar this week, just right of the stairs.

The weapon this week is Red Death. This is the first time Xur has sold it in Year 2. He last sold it 7 weeks before the big Gjallarhorn sale.

And that'll do it. For the season.

This week marks the season finale for The Xur Report. I mean lets face it, pretty much anyone reading or watching has everything. So I'm going to take a vacation from it for the summer. Come September, the plan is to return to the report, perhaps even sooner if I feel like it.

Doubt there are any other Canadian's who play this game (other than Cruz) that are on this thread, but the preorder for Rise of Iron is $30 CAD ~ $22 USD on the PSN store.

The PS store also has a countdown timer, it says 102 days from now. So Tuesday, September 20th.
