other than saving some for future content (though you will always accumulate more), it is the best use of them at this time

I don't find that Xur has anything of interest to buy anymore with the exception of the Strange Coins. Anything you buy from him unlocks at 280 anyway, and besides we are swimming in Legendary Marks. It is far easier to unlock the exotics from the kiosk using them.

That being said, I'm down to 2 or 3 items on my main account that he could sell me that I don't have. I only have 1 on my other account that I could pull from the kiosk.

OK, here we go with the weekly reset report.
Warpriest is the challenge this week. 2 done for me so far, with 1 335 Terminus.
Challenge Of The Elders this week has Exposure and Trickle as the modifiers, and Melee Kills are the bonus. So for warlocks, Claws Of Ahamkara, could use Stormcaller for perpetual charge. Titans should use Sunbreaker with the perk for resetting melee cooldown with melee kills and simmering flames, plus Insurmountable Skullfort for second melee. Hunters have Gunslingers with two knives, and have a reset cooldown with precision knife kills. Also, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps for second melee. Also, everyone can use Monte Carlo for its melee perks.
Bosses are Keksis, The Betrayed, Seditious Mind, and Wretched Knight. Seditious Mind was round 3 last week, the other two are new.
Nightfall is Fallen S.A.B.E.R. with Trickle, Grounded and Small Arms.
Well, if you wanted a challenge with Challenge Of The Elders...you got it this week.
Keksis ignites bombs that not only suppress you when they explode, they drain your super. So round 1, no supers for sure. Round 2 is like last week's round 3, but with exposure, it's tougher. Round 3, the knight can bring up those taken mines all over the map, but especially on the left and right sides where you'd normally go to hide. Ugh. I guess Round 3 isn't all that bad.
Shouldn't be too bad with 3, but jeez. This is far tougher than the first two weeks. I did just solo it and got 30,295. So just enough for the high score. But I won't be soloing it again I suspect.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Bungie messed something up with the IB. I'm Rank 5 and was able to get the auto rifle-Range Finder, Perfect Balance, Counter Balance. Both that and the RL have absurdly good rolls. I even went to orbit, came back to the tower, and I was still Rank 5.
They fixed it after 35 minutes. Everyone is back to Rank 0.

Sounds like the IB drops are fast and furious.
According to the "RForte Presents" the reddit, people are getting 334 - 335 drops almost every other match.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
from the weekly update
Next Tuesday, May 3rd, we’re deploying Update 2.2.0.2 to correct a few things that were bugging us. (See what we did there?) It will fix a few chests, quests, and rewards – nothing major. Also included in the bundle will be some changes to help you land a punch a little more squarely on the jaw of your opponent.
Let’s talk about how those changes will make their way from our workbench to your game room.
The Only Good Bug [Spoiler: It’s a dead bug]
In a game ruled by magic and exotic weaponry, there is still a seat at the table for a good, old-fashioned, bare-knuckled attack. Isn’t that right, Titans?
Ever thrown a punch – we’re only talking about Destiny here – that seemed to land (you heard it and you felt it) but it didn’t deal any damage? Yeah, us too.
Ever thrown a punch (or a shoulder) that seemed to “whiff” right past your intended target when you were so sure it would land? Yup, the same thing happened to us, so we put one of our top men on it.
The empty threat of a melee is a thing we aim to fix in this next update. Anyone remember Sandbox Engineer Jon Cable? He’s one of the killer elite among bug hunters. If losing Heavy Ammunition upon death in Destiny Year One threw you into a blind rage, Jon was your champion. We sent him deep, deep into a hellmouth of code to eradicate that bug, and he came back a hero.
Recently, he’s been investigating the complexities of a proper melee attack. Here he is with a diagnosis.
Jon: When a melee attack seems like it connects, but it doesn’t do any damage, this is usually a networking problem. Most commonly, it occurs when there is an issue communicating your position to the other machines in the game, or if your would-be victim is having a similar problem. I’ve tweaked some networking logic related to player positions during melee attacks which should help address these issues. This error can still occur, because the internet isn’t perfect, but it should be better.
When a melee attack whiffs, this is usually a sandbox problem. I’ve fixed a bug where we were starting the target search from an incorrect position. Normally, we begin searching for targets from the perspective of the attacker’s head. This bug would result in the target search falling short. If the melee lunge didn’t get you close enough to the target, or if the target was moving away from you, your melee would not connect. The new fix should make Arc Blade and Shoulder Charge much more reliable. There are still situations – especially when the target is moving away from you – where you will not connect.
Listening to these guys talk about their work makes my palms sweat the way they did when a pop quiz would rear its ugly head in math class. Thank the Light for the guys who actually did their homework back in the day.
These melee fixes will NOT go live when we deploy Update 2.2.0.2.
Changing the Sandbox always runs the risk of wreaking havoc on the fabric of virtual reality. We’re going to roll this out nice and slow
.
Here are the steps we’ll take:
Update 2.2.0.2 deploys Tuesday, May 3rd starting at about 10AM Pacific
We’ll monitor the base update for stability over the weekend
New Melee code will be manually activated Tuesday, May 10th at 10AM Pacific
We’ll monitor performance and gather feedback on the Sandbox
Of course this plan is subject to change, but that is the plan at this moment. We’ll give you some advance warning before we flip the switch. In the event that something terrible happens once the changes go live, we’ll be able to roll these “fixes” back immediately. If you see something weird, say something weird. We know you would without us asking, but we want you to know that we’ll be listening and ready to take action.
The last thing we’d want would be for you to take a swing at us.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Ladies and Gentlemen, prayers have been answered this week!
Destiny has always had its fair share of elusive items that were loved by those lucky enough to have seen them drop, and desired by those who weren't quite as fortunate. The Gjallarhorn. Vex Mythoclast. Hawkmoon (Sorry Chase). The Jade Rabbit (Sorry musick). The 4th Horseman (Sorry me!). Some of these were essential items for the game, while others were just missing pieces to round out a collection.
In year 2, the most sought after item fitting this description has been the Twilight Garrison. It started as a very rare drop in the taken king. So rare in fact that it wasn't supposed to be dropping at all. In the December update, the Garrison was finally let loose upon the masses. But much like those other items, this is one that has eluded many like the way the actual item allows Titans to elude the enemy.
Well folks, after months of prayer circles, Xur has finally answered that prayer. Let's get to the deals!
Xur is located in center tower, next to the Crucible Quartermaster.

For the Titan, it's the XUR DEBUT of the TWILIGHT GARRISON!!! Elude your enemies in mid-air! Solo the bridge in Crota! Jump around! Jump! Jump! Jump!
For the Hunter, it's the ATS/8 Arachnid. This is one that no prayer circle has been seeking. In year 1, this was probably the worst exotic. Zoom in with your golden gun. Oooohhhh. In the April update, the Arachnid was brought back with the added perk of your golden gun lasting longer. This addition makes it a viable item, but still not as good as the Symbiote or Nighthawk. It does look cool.
For the Warlock, it's The Ram helmet. Xur never sold this item in year 1, making it another one of those elusive items that some had trouble finding. He has sold it in Year 2, and here he does it again. Good looking and useful.
No engram this week because...
The weapon this week is The Hawkmoon (sorry chase). As mentioned many times, this was chase's white whale in Year 1. Though I believe like many others, his year 2 whale is Melissa McCarthy. No no, I mean the Twilight Garrison. As for the Hawkmoon, it's back to being an awesome PVP weapon.
Make sure you pick up some THREE OF COINS!!!!
OK, that'll do it for the text report. The video report will be up in a bit, but I wanted to get this up so Skillz could relax this week.

Thankfully I had the Twilight Garrison (m'kay) drop for me a few weeks ago.
My white whale (not a Melissa McCarthy joke
) is the Zen Meteor.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Here we go with the weekly reset report.
The Nightfall this week is Dust Palace with Solar Burn, Airborne and Brawler.
Challenge Of The Elders features:
The Overmind Minotaur
SYLOK, THE DEFILED!
Noru’usk, Servant Of Oryx
Modifiers are Brawler and Ironclad (more enemies have shields)
Scoring bonus is for Super Kills. So creating and sharing orbs is a must.
EDIT: Holy shit. This is the easiest challenge yet. I went in with my old reset buddies who are 319 and 311, and we scored 49 grand the first try. Second time around, we hit 54 grand. 104 grand in two runs. The Cabal boss shoots those balls and stomps. That's it. The only enemies that have shields are the ads for SYLOK, THE DEFILED! We used two stormcallers and a tether. Lots of orbs, lots of supers.

OK, the patch is now available. It's one that has to be downloaded through PSN, not just a quick thing through Destiny itself.
https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Artic...Fix---05032016
Patch notes:
Destiny Hot Fix - 05/03/2016 0h - Destiny Dev Team
2.2.0.2 - The one about melee attacks.
On the heels of the April Update, we're fixing a couple of things that were bugging us.
Character
The following changes to the melee ability will be manually toggled on Tuesday, May 10th at 10AM Pacific. For a review of the changes read the last "This Week at Bunge."
Fixed a bug that would start a melee target search from an incorrect position, frequently coming up short and causing the melee attack to whiff
Adjust melee strike validation logic and player position networking during melee attacks to improve reliability across the network
Activities
Fixed an issue in which chests in the original Prison of Elders challenge modes (Level 32, 34, 35) did not properly give loot
Fixed an issue in which the Weekly Nightfall did not drop Ghosts above the player's Light correctly
Quests
Fixed an issue that prevented completion of the quest "With Finesse and Speed"
Fixed an issue that allowed purchase of Dreadfang before the player had completed the quest to obtain it
Items
Fixed an issue in which some of the Faction Class items did not properly allow quest progression for Factions
Fixed an issue where the Hunter "Spektar Grasps" item did not properly display all geometry on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360
Fixed an issue in which Cryptarch Rank Up packages were incorrectly giving Year 1 Engrams
Fixed an issue that would allow Universal Remote to decrypt from Special Weapon engrams when it is a primary weapon

And here we go with the Xur Report this week.
Xur is back in the Reef this week, in his famous cubby hole.

For the Titan, it's the Crest Of Alpha Lupi chest. Fast revives and an extra orb!
For the Hunter, it's Young Ahamkara's Spine. Bust a move with 2 tripmines!
For the Warlock, it's The Heart Of The Praxic Fire. Like nipple rings on your armor? We got that!
No engram this week because...
The weapon this week is the SUROS Regime. It's back to being solid in Crucible.
The Legacy Engram this week is for Primary Weapons. Unless you still need a Thorn, don't buy this.
And that'll do it for this week. Stay tuned for the video report, where we mourn a fallen guardian, coming right up.

Got 3 Oryx kills in as well. Lots of 335 primaries and 1 helmet. All my exotic weapons are 335 except for Super Good Advice, Bolt Caster and Raze Lighter (all 334).
