That was a piece of cake compared to the exotic bounty for the Chaperone shotgun. Plus 1 percent for a crucible kill with The Last Word equipped, and minus 2 percent for each death. Needless to say, after several crucible matches, I'm at zero percent.

Oh wow, yeah that sucks. I thought Thorn was the one where you had to finish something like 25 strikes without dying.

With Thorn there was a crucible component were you had to get kills using only void supers, grenades, and weapons. It was;t too bad if you had good void weapons, but if you didn't it could be a pain in the ass.

yeah, I've pretty much done everything on my Lock and haven't touched my Hunter or Titan and I used to do everything (and I mean everything on all 3)

I don't look at it as "sucking" ..... I'm glad there is so much to do with 1 character that I haven't begun to get to the others yet ... it will only add longevity to the game .... keep in mind we are only 2 days in with the new content .... marathon not a sprint

when they said this DLC would have over 2 times the content of the other previous expansions they weren't kidding

I said this last night and will say it again ..... I feel already based on the 2 days played that I'll get more out of this $40 purchase than I did the $100 plus of vanilla/CE/HoW

TTK delivers in spades

I honestly think it's a lot of smoke & mirrors. There aren't too many new areas, guns or enemies. Just a handful of new ones and refurbished old ones to give the impression of new content. As for there being more missions, it's just an expanded set of bounties. I'm not saying this new DLC sucks, but it's not as much content as it seems from the outside.

That's what I told Chase yesterday. In just two days I feel like I already got my $40 worth. Everything else going forward is a bonus.

Don't equip the last word until you get heavy ammo. Then proceed to get machine gun kill streaks. Unequip the last word once you run out of heavy.

The problem is that once you max out all 3 characters, you still can't do the dailies / nightfall on all 3 characters and that sucks. They should not have taken away our option of doing the daily / weekly on all 3 characters. I am also dreading having to play through the story two more times... I skipped the story on my hunter/titan and just leveled via crucible. I did end up going through and beating the game with them later on but I really had no interest in playing through the missions again.

At least we can skip cut scenes now.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I've enjoyed the little I've been able to play so far. I'm only two story missions in, but I love how the characters actually have personalities now. The dialogue between them in the cut scenes have been great.

I don't think I've come across anything about unlocking my subclass yet. Does that happen during one of the missions?

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like it's one of the quests that I already picked up

no interest in playing through the missions again but you are upset over limitations of running dailies/nightfalls, etc repetitively ??!!

I'm really enjoying TTK too. I never thought Year one felt like beta because it was so fun, but it kinda does now. TTK is so much more immersive, surprising and fun. 150% worth my $40 upgrade.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

so I believe if you are breaking down legendary gear (Y2) you will get 3 Legendary Marks if no XP is put into the item, 4 if leveled up with XP at least half way, and 5 for full XP

keep this in mind when considering breaking down items with lower light than your highest light level item

also don't get rid of all your Y1 legendaries you won't be using if you have vault/postmaster space because there is a quest that the gunsmith requires you to break down rare and legendary weapons for (one reason we were probably told not to break down existing legendary gear in our inventory before launch)

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Some info about Xur from the weekly update:

In Year One, Xûr was a community “loot drop,” a shared rallying point that everyone could cheer or curse. In Year Two, Xûr’s offerings have been changed so that he will select either a specific Exotic Weapon or an Exotic Engram for sale every week. This change is due primarily to our desire to give players more direct paths to acquiring the Exotics they want through Quests and gameplay experiences, and to avoid repetition in his inventory.

Xûr will also sell a new consumable, the Three of Coins, which gives bosses a chance to drop Exotic Engrams, including Weapon Engrams. These consumables have a cumulative luck effect, so even if one doesn’t net you a drop, the next one has a higher chance to do so.

Lastly, Xûr will also choose a Legacy Engram every week. These Engrams contain Year One Exotics (at Year One Attack and Defense levels) for players who want to finish up a Collection. They strongly bias towards Exotics not already in your Blueprint Collection, to help fill in the blank slots - excluding Mythoclast and Necrochasm, which are still only available from their Year One sources.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

So Xur will have 1 item a week?

Well, that'll make the Xur Report much shorter, especially if it's the engram.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I read that as they were only addressing Exotic weapons. I'm assuming armor offerings are staying the same. We'll see tomorrow/tonight.

Reading Is Fundamental

In Year Two, Xûr’s offerings have been changed so that he will select either a specific Exotic Weapon or an Exotic Engram for sale every week.
don't know how much clearer this can be
if armor is offered it will be in the form of an exotic engram only

Re: Bungie - Destiny

the quote is not unsourced unless you were expecting a comment from Xur himself
the source is Bungie as noted
