And they didn't even show the Gjallarhorn stats from last week.
No kind of depth to the questions, other than telling us about No Backup Plans becoming Use A Shotgun Plan. I mean, pretty much everything else was discussed in the video, or discovered in it. So their basic answer to it is: Spend $40 to find out about the changes? Fuck you Bungie. |

Any interest in a signup sheet for Day 1 of Taken King for people that want to go through the story as a fireteam? I figure we can get together in groups of 3 dependent on what time people plan on playing.
No way I'm buying Day 1. |

Bungie: "We're gonna make Destiny less fun with each update, and you'll all complain but will continue to play it - suckers!"

No they aren't making it less fun
They are giving us hours upon hours of shit to do Leavin Gally in the dust is a pretty big deal, wonder what new weapon will take its place |

I don't see how anyone can say the changes coming will make the game less fun. Quests, new bounties, weekly bounties, armsday, new strikes, new patrol area, new raid, etc.

Grinding exotics over again for the 3rd time, isn't fun. Completely invalidating all old content isn't fun(even though I know why they have to do it). Picking and choosing which exoitcs come forward to year 2 is bullshit. Either bring them all forward, or bring none of them forward.
don't upgrade any of your Y1 exotics to Y2 levels if you get a Y2 exotic dismantle it "problem" solved |

What changes do you want them to cover? Honestly, they are in a tough position. If they reveal everything like they did with HoW there will be zero surprises.
What the fuck reason is there to run Vault Of Glass, Crota's End or Prison Of Elders anymore? That's 3 end game events possibly being killed completely and being replaced by 1. Since all this year 1 stuff is being left behind, even the exotics from them, what possible reason is there to run that stuff anymore? I'm not talking about new content, that's where surprises come from. I want to know how they expect to keep a community going with this game when they're drawing a HUGE FUCKING LINE IN THE SAND between vets and new players. This is what they have said NOTHING about. And if they're leaving all this content behind, they are effectively killing half the game. I mean at this point they've basically told me there's no point in playing the game between now and September 15th. I can't obtain anything I don't already have. I have 1200 marks that will be converted to 24 commendations (what kind of shitty conversion rate is that BTW?), Full Glimmer. I have Elder Ciphers to complete, but why? I have all the weapons already AND on top of that those exotics are likely to be left behind (since the Vex and Necrochasm are). To me, this shouldn't be left to guessing games. TELL US WHAT THE FUCK YOU'RE DOING WITH THE FUCKING GAME AND STOP BEING LITTLE BITCHES ABOUT IT. |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Everyone is losing their shit over on the Bungie Boards.
If Xur didn't sell the Ghorn last week you'd have way less people freaking out. Sometimes I think Bungie uses the Family Guy Manatee to make some of their decisions. |

@thislukesmith @DeeJ_BNG Do you plan to address if changes will be made to year one end game content so it is still relevant in year two? I'll let everyone know when they get back to me. |

Even for new players you can get to lvl 40 just by playing the game through experence., there is ZERO reason to run the old raids now(other then fun). The weapons will be out classed all most instantly by drops you get on patrol. Why on earth would you grind VoG for weeks hoping to get that helmet?
a new person to the game isn't going to want to experience figuring out the mechanics of the early raids and such for the first time? (sure there are cheats, guides, video tutorials to spoil all that stuff but unless you play the content when it is first release those crutches will always exist) ... maybe they will want to collect full sets of raid gear (weapons and armor) so they can say they aquired it .... many of us still hung onto that stuff even though we didn't know it would be able to be ascended and was sometimes outclassed by other content I'm surprised anyone was expecting we would see content such as the old raids at a higher level ... why the outrage now? when was that even hinted at? or is this still all about the newbies have an easier path than we did as early players? |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I look at it as if those weapons and and any of the old stuff you can't get anymore are collectors items. I started my first nightfall last night with my ascended Shadow Price Assault Rifle (forgot how fun that weapon is) and both the LFGers stopped and asked me where I got that gun from. When I was in the tower I got messaged by a couple of guys in the Tower asking the same thing. Same thing with old raid/IB gear . Shoot there was armor from the original Queen's bounties that I wish I could get.

We still had at least some reason to run it to get chase his hawkmoon, and until recently cruz to get his Vex. That reason goes away since the new content would supposedly drop the new versions. And the Vex isn't moving forward. other than the story content I think HoW has the most lackluster and repetitive content isn't this more a symptom of the fact you have invested countless hours into the game? ... you are not the norm or at least not how they want you to play the game now ... didn't Bungie say they were surpised by the way people were running the same stuff over and over and wanted to make it less "grindy" and more focused on story/content? If Bungie was surprised by how much people ran stuff over and over again, than they should be shocked at how many people play their game, because that's all there is. This game has been about repetition since day 1. Only now they're getting rid of unique things and replacing them with things that look deeper but really aren't. I mean, Vault Of Glass, or getting 6 hand cannon kills in a Crucible match? Or getting 9 hand cannon kills? Even Armsday with the Gunsmith is basically a new coat of paint on the Exotic Bounties, only now you just kill enemies with a specific gun. And if the way I play the game is not how Bungie wants me to play it, why the fuck would I pay them to continue? I'm surprised anyone was expecting we would see content such as the old raids at a higher level ... why the outrage now? when was that even hinted at? or is this still all about the newbies have an easier path than we did as early players? It's going to be even harder for new players to do the raids because they aren't going to have the same pool to find players from, and the incentive for all players, old and new, just won't be there. I'm pissed because I think the decision they're making is going to hurt Destiny in the long run. I want the 10 year plan to continue, I want there to be a vibrant community. I want everyone to get to experience and enjoy every aspect of this game. Apparently Bungie doesn't want that, or doesn't care. And that is disappointing. |

As both. I talked about this yesterday. There will be no reason for a new player to run the raid because they'll be ranking up far faster than we did. There will be no reason for them to max out a Fatebringer that dropped on their 15th Vault run because they won't be running it 15 times. The vets to show them they way just won't be there because of the lack of incentive to do it.

I'm not trying to convice you or anyone to buy the DLC ... I still haven't purchased it but based on what I have heard I think I would get my $40 worth of value is everything perfect about the new content? ... no, nor will it ever be able to please everyone but I like a lot of what I have seen/heard and look forward to hearing more or not and being surprised by what I discover |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
If I hit the lottery I will hook everyone up with a copy. I'm really hoping all of the regulars get this, because as I've said before, I think we have a great group of guys that enjoy playing together.
My sense of humor alone should be worth the $40. ;) Why is Jared stopping at the tower tomorrow? He heard Xur will have level 16 female armor half off. |

Now that includes anyone that ever fired the game up, but that's still a real low number for such good content. It's going to be even harder for new players to do the raids because they aren't going to have the same pool to find players from, and the incentive for all players, old and new, just won't be there. maybe lock player progress to a higher level or story progress until they have completed the raid at a certain level? aquired a certain amount of raid content? reverse course and implement in game matchmaking so people have an easier path to doing the raid (most people are not going to lfg even if it exists and I can see why the 20% figure may exist ... even though that is for "completing" and not "participating")? I'm pissed because I think the decision they're making is going to hurt Destiny in the long run. I want the 10 year plan to continue, I want there to be a vibrant community.
