I got 2 shards when dismantled repeat raid gear, but one of the guys in my group claimed he got 5 when he did the same. He was either lying, or it's random like everything else.

mccareen hounded me until I broke down the gloves, as I was going to level them up to see if I got more. I ended up with 2 radiant shards and like 3 Hadronic Essence.

I'm finally playing Destiny, as it took awhile to get it from the Activision company store and by then I had already started Sunset Overdrive. I've only played a few hours, and at level 8 with a Warlock. I'm actually enjoying the game a lot more then I thought I would, even though it's very much a super light MMO. It feels like the world should be a lot bigger then it already is, and i'm a little surprised that the very early parts of the game already have you repeating the same areas over and over again. I imagine i'll get bored of that quickly like I do with other MMO's, as I dislike grinding for levels and loot which is why I got bored of World of Warcraft or Diablo.

Still, the gameplay is really solid and enjoyable, i'm enjoying the more simplistic RPG leveling aspects, and the art and music is wonderful.

Just keep playing, the game doesn't really start until the <s>beta</s> <s>full release</s> <s>level 20</s> DLC.

So my raid group decided the other day that they are done with the game. One guy said he was done and then like 3 others agreed. Only problem is that I'm not! Im not the best player but I still really enjoy the game. If anyone wants to add me on PS4, I'm down to play. We've beaten the raid on hard a few times and made it to Crota on the new one when everyone decided they hated it and quit. So I'm looking for some groups to do Weekly's, nightfalls and raids.

OK, before I start with Xur, I'd like to say I was lucky enough to get Husk Of The Pit, and it's awesome!

Now onto the Weekly Xur Report.

Xur is located in North Tower, in front of the big ass door by the Speaker.

Now on with the deals. For Sale this week:

The Titan has Ruin Wings for the second week in a row. Still look cool, still not a helmet or chest. It has lower stats than the version from last week.

The Hunter has Knucklehead Radar. Gives you radar while aiming on all primary weapons, but Symbiote and Third Eye are the better options.

The Warlock has...something new! But before you get too excited, they're gauntlets. They're the Claws Of Ahamkama, and they look...different. But again, gauntlets.

This week's weapon is the Patience & Time Sniper Rifle. If you can't find an Ice Breaker, this is a good second choice. It dominates in arc burn weeklies like this week's weeklies. Good way to upgrade if you already have it as well.

The Engram this week...helmet...again. Oy.

This week's Upgrades:

Hunter: Crest Of Alpha Lupi and Lucky Raspberry chests. (Both new)
Titan: Crest Of Alpha Lupi Chest (New), and No Backup Plans Gauntlets (again)
Warlock: Heart Of The Praxic Fire (New, FUCK YOU XUR!!!) and Sunbreakers (Again)

The Monte Carlo is one of the Playstation Exclusive guns, so we get an extra upgrade this week. May want to upgrade that one, as that and Hawkmoon could be rare.

So we finally see Praxic Fire from Xur, and it's in the upgrade bin. son'bitch.

Truth was sold by Xur last week, so I guess this is the second chance at the upgrade. Super Good Advice and Thorn are bounty weapons, meaning you can upgrade them that way as well. In fact, Super Good Advice is the easiest bounty gun to get, so don't waste the shard here. If you have a VOC, I'd pass on the Multi-Tool upgrade. Plan C was kind of usurped by the Murmur. Universal Remote is more a conversation piece than useful.

All in all, a pretty crappy week.


A few more notes:

The stats on the Alpha Lupi chests are pretty decent. The Lucky Raspberry is terrible. My old Raspberry has 40 more points than the "upgrade." Disappointing since I would have preferred to upgrade the Raspberry, but now I might do the Lupi instead.

Eh. Nothing stops the Destiny disappointment train.

Played three nightfalls yesterday when I should have been playing Warframe and got a shitty purple hand cannon, repeat Titan gloves and 11 worthless ass shards.

Oh, Xur. Guess I'll get a new P&T and check out the Warlock gloves. None of the upgrades are worth the glimmer other than Praxic Fire, which few people seem to have anyway.

I think I'm going to shitcan a bunch of exotics this week. If it's not worth upgrading, it's not worth keeping IMO.

Thanks for the list Scott....and yea...I have that Husk of the Pits and even at Level 10 doing 138 damage it surprised the heck out of me. I only lack about 60-70 kills from reaching the 420.

If anything I do recommend the Patience & Time Sniper. With the hive playing a more important role this time around this is lethal against the larger Knights. You can creep in the open cloaked and get two head shots easily taking them down. I'll probably break mine down and get the new one.

Other than that I'll do the same with the Hunter Alpha chest, Monte Carlo and maybe Plan C...still a good fusion rifle. And I have the Eris Urn to turn in to get the final armor piece that will get me to 31. But like everyone else need Shards....

Glad the Alpha Lupi upgrade is this week. Now I can pick up a legendary helmet from the vanguard and I'll easily be over 30 in a couple of hours.

I don't have an icebreaker, so I'll definitely be spending some coins on that sniper as well.

I'll second the recommendation on Patience and Time - It crushes all the other sniper rifles IMHO. Icebreaker beats it only because of the never ending ammo but can't match the stability of the PandT.

Visited Xur early this morning and purchased another Patience & Time, some shards and some heavy ammo synthesis. If I get some more coinage I may pick up Claws Of Ahamkama for my Warlock but I think I'd rather save up in case Icebreaker or Heart Of The Praxic Fire comes on sale soon.

I'm going to pick up P&T and Ruin Wings, may buy a shard to vault. Don't have any exotics to upgrade.

Question on exotic bounties... I know new ones you receive post-TDB are for the upgraded versions (331 atk) but what about a bounty I was working on but did not finish pre-TDB? It is Thorn's bounty and I had only completed the first step. Will I get the upgraded Thorn when I finish it or will it be the old version? If the old, should I just drop the bounty? The PvP part will be tough for me anyway. :p

I'll pick up patience and time as well as the new warlock gauntlets. I have the raid gauntlets already, but those things are going to take forever to level.

So I turn in the eyes for the knightbone gauntlets and they rolled with quick reload for.....pulse rifles. Ugh! I just broke them down for materials and bought a set from the vanguard.

You get the upgraded version when you finish it. I had the Invective bounty finished except for the very last step (buy 50 ammo synthesis) before the patch. After the patch, I bought the ammo to complete the bounty and got the better version.

Good to hear I have 3 leftover exotic bounties I need to knock out. Technically 4 since one is the Thorn bounty on 2 different characters.

Cool, thanks! I was hoping it would work that way and not like how it was for hoarding legendary engrams pre-TDB... they all turned in to pre-TDB vanguard weapons and not the new ones.

those looking at the upgraded P&T this week I would suggest looking at LDR-5001 from the Vanguard as an alternative option and one that won't take up an exotic slot

Did my shopping and came away with....

P&T Sniper....broke down the old one and bought the new one
Monte Carlo Rifle....upgraded existing one
Eris Urn.....Warlock got the new gauntlets from giving Xur the Urn
Rolled the Motes of Light three times.....Obsidian Mind (Warlock), Glasshouse(Titan) and Mask of the Third Man (Hunter)
Last night got the Heart of the Praxic Fire exotic vest for the Warlock for a Nightfall run.

I'll probably go ahead and grab either the new hunter or titan chest pc since I can break down the existing ones.
