Sad to see the cheese train go but glad to see that VoG becomes valuable to play again. Wish they would make one more circle on the skill tree for VoG gear to upgrade it to a higher level -make it costly too ( 21 ascendent shards 45 materials and 5-7000 glimmer to go up to a 36 light). Wish they would make it so that the first 2 parts of the raid made it possible for 27s to survive. I am thankful to all our sherpas - especially Scott (who does these treks for us without complaining and without benefit to his characters.) Without you guys we would not be even close to having most of the gear we have. (1)...THIS!!!...one reason why I haven't totally ditch several pieces. Plus I'd like to see them offer upgrades for the VoG weapons such as the must have Vison of Confluence which I still use a lot. The Atheon's Epilogue is still ok but there are some good Fusion Void Rifles and the Swordbreaker from Crota has been good against Praetorians (2)...Scott and his Magical Crota Tour Bus and kudos to a few others including Chess |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Chess too and I was in with a Soonerdoc and avs guided tour. Heck if they weren't going to 'fix' it this week I was gonna put my hat in the ring to lead a tour. (I tried it one time and was successful in getting the physics explosion)

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Maybe by the time HoW comes out, I will finally get an Icebreaker, Fatebringer, and VoC. ;)
I'll repeat it again, big thanks to those of you who take the time to re-run strikes, NFs, and raids when you don't really need to on your characters solely for the benefit of other Daggers. I appreciate it immensely. |

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Xür is becoming a regular clown show. I realize that some people, unlike many of our clan, don't have the majority of the gear in the game. But he doesn't even regularly stock exotic engrams, even, which renders motes useless. Once I factor in generally getting duplicate exotics every Nightfall, it's killing my motivation to do them each week!
Also, it's been said before by myself, since joining, and by everyone else in the thread, many, many thanks to Scott for being so damn patient and willing to help so many. Without your patience, invites, and the rest of the clan (a big thanks to IceRat, as well), I would never have gotten to run the Vault, or Crota's End. |

I think if it were not for chess and scott leading and splaining the VoG and some of the other dynamics of the game my interest in Destiny might have gone away.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
And how do people even afford stuff from Xur? I'm at level 25 and I've only gotten 2 strange coins so far. At that rate, I need to get to level 150 to have enough strange coins to buy just one thing from him.

and if Xur continues to suck and you continue to not have anything you don't have or want to spend them on you may accumulate somewhere around the 250 the bank of IceRat is sitting on |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Once you are able to do the lvl 30 weekly strike you get 9 coins per character every week. Plus if you have my luck with weekly nightfall drops, you get another 5-12 coins per character from those. It adds up pretty quickly. You also have a chance of getting a mote or coin each day for doing a public event each day.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I think I'm in the 200 range. Might not even bother with Weeklies this week, even though it's an easy one.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Well, I don't have PS+ to be able to play strikes and shit, so that's an issue as well. I understand holding back multiplayer for people who don't have +, but holding back content like coins which leads to better gear, is pretty lame.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I'm not sure if strikes are tied to PS+ but really don't know as I have had it since day 1 (IMO, it is mandatory and there is no reason not to have it). However, you should really get PS+. It is totally worth it for the free games you get for PS4, PS3 and Vita.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I didn't realize PS+ was so integrated into the online aspect of games now. It's not enough that you have to always be signed into PSN to play anything nowadays, you have to have a PS+ subscription also?

I came over from the XBL and 360 and saw so many PSN people get upset about having to pay $50 for a year of service. Yet probably don't have any issue with a $60-$80 monthly cell phone charge. It's worth it to me but to each their own I guess. |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I wonder if anyone has broken down new leveled up Crota raid gear and what it would net you back in radiant shards
I mentioned yesterday that if I went with full Warlock raid armor I would be rocking an intellect of around 400+ with little in the way of discipline and no strength would be nice to know before I possibly apply 21 shards to each piece approx what the return would be if I dismantled for a better roll down the line |

I just need the service to be more stable. Sure, my phone is $40 a month, but I'm constantly using it and it's never "down". |

Re: Bungie - Destiny
slop, also regarding coins and running multiple characters. If you don't care to try out the other classes, then the most efficient thing to do is to make 3 of the same class. This way once each character is level 20, you can swap your gear between all three and you are only leveling up gear for one class.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I didn't even realize you could play Destiny without PS+. That world must be even more empty than it is now ;)

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Well that's pathetic but not surprising. You can have maxed out weapons but doesn't do good unless you have high rank armor which you need special-only-get-in-one-place shards which for every 3-5 you need you might get one to drop.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Might try to level my Warlock and Titan to 32 this week...can't recall the rolls on my Hunter gear.
Does that quest from Xur count for reputation with Eris? Is that even her name? Should I even care? |

CE gear you only get two shards no matter how leveld up it is. Weapons are random, could be any where from 3-5 energys.
I didn't expect it would be much but hell at least make it 1/3 of the investment back (7) I guess I'll hold out on leveling up to 32 for as long as possible to see what better armor/rolls may come no reason (urgent need) to be at 32 right now |

Maybe wait until your next armor drops to see if you get some discipline armor to mix in. |
