So yeah...killed Crota 3 times and ran 3 nightfalls in the past 2 days. The only useful gun I got was this one:

:thumbsup:....probably the best gun overall in "Both Games"....yes...even the Ice breaker and Suros


On a side note/question....would you "upgrade" a Plan C at this point with the new Dual Elemental Fusion Rifle? Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it seems like the Plan C is a bit better. With the Hive being more involved this time around versus the Vex and Arc damage being important, the Plan C is still a good gun.

I prefer the Murmur since it's a Legendary. Meaning I could still run an Exotic Primary or Heavy with it. But if you're just using it in a swap with say the Ice Breaker, then it's not a bad choice. But the Murmur is a very good weapon...in its Arc form. The Solar form is a little slow for my taste, and I'd rather just swap to a different solar fusion if I need it.

Level 17, and still really enjoying the game. It's actually the first game in awhile that i'm excited to play and level up on in some time. Don't me wrong, I wish the story was told far better (I just talked to some Queen... and still have no idea why I went to see her, and what she was telling me to do or why I brought her the head of some thing) and the individual planets are ridiculously small in scope for what this game is trying to be, but i'm still having a lot of fun. Particularly the strikes on each planet.

I still expect to stop once the game becomes a complete loot grind as I have no interest in that, but I like the game a lot more then I expected. A shame that it's so far from what I had assumed it would be pre-release; the scope of the universe seems like 10% of what I thought it would actually be.

So, somehow I ended up with everything I need to get my Titan to level 32. Also 2 pieces for my Hunter. And my Warlock, the one I prefer to play...two pairs of fucking boots.

But whatever. I got Nova Prime in Warframe, and you guys (and Bungie) can suck it. ;)

I think some of it really is dumb luck though. I ran thought the first part of the new raid on Friday with some of the guys here and got raid gear from all 3 chests I opened. Since I only play once a week now to run through the weekly, the raid and sometimes the nightfall, it might be awhile before I can level it up though.

I'm stuck on level 24. After maxing out the light on my armor, and hours of grinding, I haven't found a single piece of armor with more light (I've found plenty with the same or less), and I can't even come close to affording to buy one.

The good news is that I can confirm that you can rank all 3 pieces of raid gear up to the point where they take shards, along with an exotic helm, and it will get you to precisely 31. I think I'll sit on the shards and see if I get armor with better rolls or armor for a character I actually like to play.

I really do hate this game. It tickles this weird obsessive part of my brain.

It's the part of my brain that levels up raid gear knowing it's going to be utterly worthless when the next DLC comes out...knowing that I could just make sure all of my characters have 200 vanguard marks and forget Destiny exists until the next update, and the net difference in my end level would be basically nothing.

Yet I do it.

Never occurred to me that I could have my kid play my Destiny account on his PS3. Nice work musick. :up:

During Iron Banner 2.0, I went down to Charleston to visit family, and I convinced my 13 year old brother to do Crucible-grind my Warlock (not a euphemism) for hours. I wound up being a level 5 when it was all said and done, so success!

I've been digging through this thread looking for tips and advice; some of the stuff from The Bus was really useful in explaining whats what. It's pretty sad that the game doesn't seem to really do it at all, and it sounds like i'll hate the game shortly after reaching 20 and the game becomes a grind. Hate that in MMO's, so I'll probably hate it here especially since my time is limited.

It's funny to read the complaints, as Decker and Groucho mentioned it's like the syndrome people have with World of Warcraft, or basically any other MMO out there. People keep playing it while complaining about how much it sucks the whole time. I guess console gamers are finally getting the PC experience for these type of games :p

Rolling out of town for the week, so I had to knock out my raiding stupid early this morning. Luckily, my normal group was on, and Scott was helping them cheese Crota, so I got all three raids done. Thx for the assist Scott.

After 3 raids, my status is:

• Warlock: Three pieces of raid armor, but they aren't great rolls (lots of strength), so she'll probably stay 31 for now.
• Titan: Three pieces of raid armor, and they're all pretty good. Might level him up to 32 when I get back.
• Hunter: Two pieces

Also got a third and fourth Black Hammer, a Red Death, and a second Dragon's Breath.

Will try to knock out a few Nightfalls tonight between packing and early bedtime.

yep, with void burn ... gonna have to dig into my vault and dig those weapons out of hybernation .... hell who am I kidding, I won't even use the Epilogue as my primary, it will likely be the Fatebringer (or Hawkmoon), I'll use the IB/Praedyth's combo to snipe from afar and only my heavy will be void if anything

I'll be on tonight to knock out 3 Nightfalls/Weeklies and any raids if we have enough .... very few people were on last night
