Re: Bungie - Destiny
It is my understanding that you cannot buy radiant shards or energies from Eris, but instead exchange one currency for another. Even then, you can only do that at Rank 4 with Eris.
|
Re: Bungie - Destiny
You're right. It's rank 4. Its a trade that involves the other material (energy for shard and vice versa) plus 1 wax idol, plus glimmer. I have a feeling you'll have a surplus of energy though since some of the raid weapons aren't even available yet.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Well...someone has hit the magical limit of 32 already.....
Someone Has Already Hit Level 32 In Destiny Destiny's new expansion, The Dark Below, hasn't even been out a week yet and someone has already hit the new level cap. Most players can appreciate how nuts this is, but non-fans should know that this is an enormous undertaking. To sum it up, you need to score three raid armor pieces from the new raid (combined with a fully upgraded new exotic armor piece) and then a total of 63 of the new radiant shards to max them out. This shard requirement isn't possible with one character even if you are extremely lucky and score all three armor pieces in a single run. And you can only get raid rewards from a single run per character per week. So how was it accomplished? Bungie forum member Enormous Trash posted his or her level 32 character super early this morning. The user didn't offer a ton of explanation, only linking to his or her profile page (shown above) for others to dig through. Enormous Trash has three warlocks and ran them all through the new raid. Then, according to a response in the thread, the user deleted a character and ran a new warlock from level 1 through a raid run a total of five times to get everything needed to hit 32. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/a...n-destiny.aspx I guess the question is now what after completing the DLC within a week. Hopefully go get a life.... |

Re: Bungie - Destiny
OK, after taking last Tuesday off due to the Dark Below coming out, I'm back with the weekly reset report, and I'm fucking pissed.
Iron Banner is back, but is virtually useless. The armor is Level 31, and it's boots and gloves just like last time. The weapons this time are an OK looking Sniper, and a crappy Auto Rifle. The new weapons are the 331 max level. Reforging is back, but don't waste your motes on the old weapons. I stupidly reforged my Perun's Fire Fusion Rifle from the last event, and got an arc version back...with the old 300 max attack. Lost all my progress, and had to reforge the damn thing 5 more times after just to get it back to void. Should have tried it with the Lash first. So there you go. Fuck Lord Saladin. This week's Weekly and Nightfall are The Summoning Pits with Arc Burn. They really want to pimp the moon. Welcome back non-DLC people! |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Summoning Pits...nice. Everybody probably needs the helium. I believe it's the Weekly that now gives resources from whatever planet it happens to be on.
Crazy that somebody hit 32. Unless I get lucky on gear (or delete my hunter), I expect it to take me at least a month. |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
Got lucky again on a last minute nightfall last night landing the newer Suros Rifle. I'll probably take that the next time I get an invite to the New Run-Like-Hell Raid.

But the Suros will be useful in the Crota fight because your health doesn't regenerate and the Suros will offset that a bit with its health perk. It's also a pretty solid DPS for getting the sword bearer down and for taking down Crota's shield. |

I ran with my new Suros the other night when we did it, and if you have it, I'd suggest the Fatebringer for the "run like hell" portion. Its explosive perks really do a nice job on those packs of Thralls.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Pretty shitty luck so far this week
NF 8 shards, NF 6 coins Weekly Legendary engram - Mida Multitool, Weekly Worthless blues Crota - Energys and Red Death from 1st chest, Crota Energy's, still need to finish crota on this one Mutitool is worse then the new legendary scout I have. Not a fan of pluse rifles either. |

1.1.0.2 : The one that followed Expansion I.
This update corrects some issues that were introduced to Destiny with the release of The Dark Below. We are also continuing to support the Destiny sandbox with changes that were identified prior the launch of Expansion I. General - Fixed a typo in the German word for 'Radiant Energy' Weapons General - Fixed an issue in which some weapon projectiles were improperly penetrating Hive shields Pocket Infinity - Rolled back changes induced by a previous Exotic weapon update - Charge up and deactivation now work as originally designed - Players may again encounter a previously known issue which prevents charge up Gear - Both existing and future Raid gear obtained in Crota’s End now begins at Level 30 with an upgrade path to reach Level 32 - Raid helmet obtained in Crota's End now drops on Normal Mode and will be a more frequent drop on Hard Mode - Fixed an issue in which Dead Orbit Hunter cloaks awarded reputation gains for both Dead Orbit and Vanguard/Crucible Activities - Added a replayable node to the Director for the ‘Fist of Crota' mission http://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Hot-...News?aid=12470 |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
some good stuff like raid helmet dropping in CE normal mode
being able to complete some bounties faster with the replayable mission and of course the ever important German spelling of 'Radiant Energy' |

People have been reporting that "Husk of the pit" has been dropping from swords of crota on earth and the moon.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
New Warframe update has my attention, because when Destiny disappoints, Warframe delivers.
But I'll run my raids this weekend and my weeklies and nightfalls sometime this week. Should also be able to get my Hunter up to 31, so I'll have all 3. Will grab whoever I can when I'm cheesing chests. |

We (Sith and kanji) did the "First Chest" last night with all three characters...but that's as far as we went since we were working on other stuff.
I'd recommend soloing the first chest. |
Re: Bungie - Destiny
I just beat Crota! Woot!
I got the two chests and first two drops on all my characters. My hunter got both the boots and gloves. I can confirm that all of Eris' gauntlets look like the Raid ones, only with missing shoulder pads. Lame. My Warlock got a second pair of gloves. so much for not getting repeats! My Titan got shafted. He got 6 energies from the two drops, and not much from the chests. But then he was the one I finished Crota with. From that, he got the shader, emblem, energy, and the Machine Gun, which is awesome looking. I need to play with it more. |

The machine gun does look awesome with the skull at the tip. I got the shotgun and two Black Hammer sniper rifles, and it appears like it could be better than Ice Breaker in some circumstances. |
