Why were people expecting the Dualshock 3 to work on the PS4? The PS4 controller has a bunch of new interface options.

I'm still not seeing what the big deal is about not showing the console. I'm betting they want to let MS show their hand with the 720, or whatever it's called, and then they can tweak their final design. No reason to show it this early.

I'm perfectly fine waiting until E3 to see what the console will look like. I can't imaging them releasing something so hideous looking that no one will buy it.

What the PS4 and 720(?) look like is of no interest to me. I'm more concerned about the specs, input/outputs and what it can and cannot do. I didn't have PS3 but did have a PS2. I like the 360 controller overall and better than the PS type. Of course it'll be interesting what 3rd party manufactures come out as well which no-one has talked about much.

Dualshock 2 Controllers work just fine on the PS3 as long as you get a USB adapter. You just can't use sixaxis features, which most games never implemented anyway. In fact, the PS3 will handle just about any USB controller.

I don't think it was unreasonable to think we'd be able to use PS3 controllers, especially when they did say Move Controllers will work.

The only thing I really want in a PS4 is to not have to update the goddamn thing every time I turn it on like the PS3.

I wouldn't mind the updates if they were as fast as the 360s. That has complete interface overhauls faster than a standard bug update on the PS3.
