I didn't realize my being happy about the PS3/PS4 cross-buy policy would be so controversial! And it certainly wasn't a ploy to do damage control or change the subject.

I can't imagine who would deny that delays for Watch Dogs (PS exclusive content) and Drive Club are objectively bad news for PS4.

Like its predecessor, the PlayStation 4 will have a user-replacable hard drive. We haven't known exactly how since the system hasn't hit stores, but we've just gotten our first glimpse at the process.

According to German site Computer Bild (via IGN), the hard drive is located underneath a glossy panel on the top of the system. That panel can be removed with a torx screwdriver. It notes that since the system has a 2.5" laptop HDD by default, you could slip in a solid state drive.

It only took them about 21 seconds to swap it out, so all in all it seems pretty easy to do.

This appears to be a dev kit, mind you, so the consumer box might be more difficult. But, the PS3 process was easy enough, so it seems likely Sony would follow suit. The PlayStation 4 is launching with a 500GB hard drive, but as Sony shifts its focus toward digital libraries you may want to consider upgrading eventually.

Not like WiiU owners have much to do otherwise.

I am speaking from experience. Mine hasn't been touched in 6 months. Been too busy playing The Last of Us and now GTA. Will prob pick up rayman legends for WiiU when it drops price.

I have a Wii U and I've touched it for maybe two hours in the past 10 months ...

... and that was to confirm Nintendo I was having issues with my console and making sure the issue was fixed when Nintendo had the unit repaired.

Between Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and GTAV, I've gotten far more use out of my 360 and PS3 in two months than I have from my Wii U in the entire duration I've owned it.

You guys are doing it wrong. I've dipped my toes back into Borderlands for the Loot Hunt(and ran through Ico), but prior to that I jumped from Sonic Racing to DuckTales to Rayman Legends to Pikmin. WiiU has been my go to console for the past 3-4 months. Granted two of those are multi-plat, they are games that don't have any advantages on the 360/PS3. Want to grab Super Luigi, ZombieU & Lego City but am waiting on another B2G1 deal.

So here's a really nice Contrast developer interview with gameplay. I thought it was basically Lost in Shadow from the Wii, but there's a bit more puzzling to it. Apparently they were going for sort of a Portal vibe.

I only bought the Wii U for the first-party titles (the only titles I own for it so far are Fitness Evolved 2013 or whatever the fuck it's called, Just Dance 4, New Super Mario U, and Nintendoland as it came with the console). The only Wii U titles I want to buy prior to the end of the year are New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, and Wind Waker HD. I'll probably pick up Wii Fit U for my wife, but I'll do it via the digital promotion when it launches next month as we already have the balance board. I'll probably end up picking up Just Dance 2014 for my wife on the Xbox One due to Kinect.

I still need to buy DuckTales and I'll probably do that on the Wii U as it has the advantage that I can play it on the gamepad while I take a shit.
