If the end result of this is a PS Plus freebie that's more interesting to me and them taking the time to make DriveClub a better game, I have no problem with that.

The other possibility is that the PS Plus edition of DriveClub comes out as planned, but the full retail version comes out in a few months. That would give Evolution a smaller goal and a few extra weeks to crunch with no disks to press. Tales from my ass.

I had already thought about cancelling my PS4/Killzone bundle due to a major bathroom renovation but now hearing Watchdogs delayed, The Crew being moved back even more and now rumors of Driveclub pushed back....think it's going to make everyone give some second thought.

I'm there with ya. I'm gonna hold on to my pre-order until the last minute, but if something cool doesn't get announced before the launch, I'm gonna dump it and ask for one of the console for XMas.

I'm making the switch over from a 360 and was wondering if it's worth it to get PS Plus right off the bat, or wait until the instant game library builds a bit. It seems like a bunch of free to play games do not require PS Plus, but i can't find a definitive list.

Yeah, I've been thinking about waiting for the PS4 at this point. I'm already picking up an Xbone, and probably a new iPad, so that's already about $1000 not including any software. That's a lot of money to dump in one month on toys.

PS Plus won't be required for the free to play games. Those are free for everyone. Right now, the value of PS+ is up in the air for new PS4 owners, since #DRIVECLUB is probably delayed and no one knows what the replacement freebie will be, if there's one.

As for PS Plus being "worth it", it's bar-none the best deal in gaming. But in your case, if you're starting out your online multiplayer with free to play and don't have a PS3, I suppose it will depend on how you feel about the free games they give away on PS4. I'd say start your PS Plus when they give away the first game you really want.

you'll need Plus to play multiplayer, so if that is something you do, then yes you'll want it. Otherwise, probably best to wait. Vita didn't get free games for several months. Assuming you don't have a ps3 or vita that is.

Thanks for the replies. I'm most certainly going to get plus at some point, but now it's probably best to put that money towards AC4 or Killzone. To be honest, having the 360 since launch, I had no idea until recently about the instant game collection. I did a double take when i read the games that were available for free. I'm hoping that eventually alot of those PS3 games that i missed will find their way onto PS4. Looking forward to playing Uncharted and Last of Us.

Nothing really grabbing me there, at least assuming that Cole's Legacy will eventually be available as separate DLC.

My only additional advice is to get a PS Plus card when you see them on sale regardless of when you plan to activate. $40/yr is the usual "sale price", but it only comes around every few months. Every now and then, you'll see $35, and that's when you stock up. I think Sam's Club is always $45.

I can't wait to get the piss smell in my house. Less than a month to go! I figure that I will buy the toilet now and the toilet paper later when the rolls are finally released. I don't want to have to spend so much at once just a few months from now.

I plan to keep some Gatorade bottles near my couch, which, when you really think about it, is better than a pause button anyway.

NBA 2K looks pretty nice. Might be the only way for me to enjoy my Lakers this year.

Where's everybody pre-ordering PS4 games from nowadays? The only deal I know of for PS4 games (and I haven't been following this pissy thread much lately) is the Best Buy pre-order and $10 GC. I'm just going to pick one game for launch and not fall into the eternal abyss of unplayed games like I did for the PS3.

THIS...I would say these might actually become the bright spot for gaming on the PS4 at the rate things are going. Also don't forget that AC: Black Flag has some special content coming for the PS4. Warframe is one that I was looking forward to and I still say Planetside 2 will be a game to watch...and play. I think though the delays of two right off titles and The Crew is a blow when looking at the overall field. Right now all is on Killzone and Knack along with the traditional COD, BF and AC games.

I always thought they were, even if they haven't been properly publicized. I'll gladly play Blacklight until Planetside comes out with a little coop Warframe and some War Thunder on the side. And they are all exclusive for some period of time.

I can't imagine how none of them got a full trailer on stage at E3, Gamescom or TGS. It's been one of the few Sony marketing missteps this year IMO. Maybe the fear was that people would do what I'm doing...buy nothing, play all the F2P and wait to see how everything else pans out. And they hardly needed help moving hardware either, so I guess it makes sense.
