Back to that Boyes interview...I'm really curious 1) what that "partnership" with Bungie is all about and 2) why they aren't leveraging it in any way.

Is it possible that Sony's internal polling and sales reporting has them convinced that they can just coast into November? Or are they just super focused on filling orders?

Anybody think that have anything to announce at TGS? Studio Japan is working on Knack, obviously, but they have at least 2 teams.

I think it would be a missed opportunity if they did not announce/reveal something special at TGS.

Yeah, I'm starting to agree. I know they have a plan for when to start up they hype-wagon, and that probably needs to start around TGS. A commercial or two wouldn't hurt either...maybe show actual video games in the commercial for their video game console.

I'd forgotten that Sony has deep down on the list of "playable" titles at TGS, which I suppose means they are pulling the curtain off and showing something beyond the teasers we've seen to date. It looks pretty neat, but my faith in Capcom is...limited. There are also rumors about whatever VR headset thingie they have planned, and they've announced almost no Japanese games from first, second or third parties or even indies.

The PS4 Japanese launch date is planned for a press conference on Monday...betting on early to mid-January depending on whether they include other Asian countries.

Side note on deep down: "Panta Ray" has to have the lead over "Drivatar" and "One" as the dumbest name I've heard for anything this year. BF4 has some bullshit marketing name for their destruction too, but it escapes me right now...

Eh, in general I don't get what's dumb about it. A little confusing for the dumbest of general consumers, but otherwise "The Xbox All-in-One" is a bit too long.

Oh and nothing is dumber than Wii or Wii U, at least not yet. There's still time for the Sega Supersonic.

Wii U is probably the dumbest name for a home console that has ever existed.

I'd like to say it's the worst name for anything ever, but as a pediatrician, I see some of the names parents give their kids in a desire to be unique and WiiU seems brilliant by comparison.

I like when Andrea is on WC, although it's been quite a while since her last appearance. Coulda used some of her peppiness a couple weeks ago while Canatta droned on about Hearthstone for 20 minutes.

Yeah, I haven't listened to today's yet, but last week was Cannata hung up on WoW and Hearthstone, Garnett throwing a tantrum over the 2DS (which I kind of like) and not much else. Meanwhile, the craziest launch ever is going on and they are too lame to talk about it for some reason.

All of the gaming podcasts have been a letdown lately other than the IGN ones, which I never thought I'd say. I've been following things day to day on Gaf and here, but I'd like to hear what some of these "personalities" think and not "what taco stands are good in Seattle".

Oh yeah, the 2DS talk and WoW was on that one as well. zzzzzzz....
