re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
You might want to wait a couple more months once they have their first price drop. That way you can still keep your Wii for Gamecube games (if you have any) and you still save $50 or more. Just a suggestion.

Your Wiimotes will work fine with the U. It comes with the same sensor bar. I picked up a controller which works as either a Wii or Wii U Pro controller. It's great; I just need more games to use it with.

My question would be; if your Wii is a paperweight, why do you believe the WiiU won't be the same?

my kids love using the Wii U for watching stuff as well, like YouTube for Minecraft videos or Netflix for cartoons. my 4 year old can navigate the picture heavy menu on the gamepad for netflix

I don't... but my son turned 5 and has been pressing me to get one. I love the idea of the VC stuff on the handheld thing too. Truthfully, I don't need this but I've pretty much owned every console since the Atari 2600 so I almost feel obligated to give it a fair shake.

Isn't that what EA did to the N64?

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
That's too bad. But, do WiiU owners really care about 3rd party games? I'm thinking of getti g a WiiU, but just for exclusives.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Just to add. There is a Nintendo Direct tomorrow. That will impact my decision a lot.

Sonic exclusive to Nintendo BOOM GAME OVER.

$20 for Luigi DLC, or $30 for the stand alone product? Wow. Pretty decent for what it is.

Not sure if serious. Is Sonic still a game changer?
I wish they wouldn't put Iwata in front of that white background. They need all kinds of crazy shit going on behind him. |
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
New Sonic game or just Sonic 4 episode 3?

Looks like a brand new 3DS and Wii U title.
Decent stuff. No huge surprises, but I suspect they are waiting closer to E3. After this, I really hope MS releases the rumored discdrive-less 360 so I can sell mine and focus on just XBL titles. |

The Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games always seemed to be pretty big sellers.
