I think that exact same thing every single time I see that abbreviation.

Awesome news.

Traded in Assassin's Creed 3 and NSMB2 for the 3DS and got ZombiU. Now, if I get a chance to play it this month I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I did get to play a little of ZombiU last night. Creepy. Love the use of the Game Pad.

Finally went to play a game today on the system. For some reason the audio won't come out of my home theater setup. I had no issues the previous days when I was simply setting up the system and browsing the store. I can't imagine anything getting bumped or altered since it worked a few days ago. What a fucking kick in the nuts.

What game was it? Some games have an option in the settings to only play sound from the GamePad, and you have to manually switch it.

Can you stream Batman and Assassin's Creed to the controller? How do they look?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I no longer get sounds at ALL. Not when I start up a game or even when I just boot up the system and move around the menus. I don't believe I turned on the TV and home theater since that second system patch came out the other day.....I had just been using the GamePad. Not sure if it has been f'ed up since then or just today. I have my PS3 and WiiU hooked up to 2 different HDMI inputs on the TV and have one HDMI I out going to my receiver. The PS3 worked fine yesterday when I watch a ton of new movies I bought today. Going to try and completely unhooked the PS3 from the setup and try the WiiU again.

Don't know about Batman, but you can stream Assassin's Creed. It looks great, taking into account that the screen isn't HD. Once during a gamepad session I got some really bad framerates and screen tearing, but that was the exception, not the rule.

I'm an idiot once again in this thread. I had remembered my system wrong. The PS3 is plugged into the receiver and then the HDMI goes out from there and to the TV. I guess my wife must of had the volume up on the TV for some reason, she hates dealing with the receiver at times, and since I only messed around in the menus at night with low volume I never realized that all the sound was from the TV and not my home theater. I'm thankful it only took moving around 1 cable to fix the issue because I was going nuts all night at work trying to figure out what the malfunction was. All is well now it seems and I can try out Nintendoland.

What would the benefit of HD be? Better scaling of the low-res graphics?

Actually, they could use it to do some CRT simulation via pixel shaders. Maybe that could be added to the Virtual Console once they get the proper Wii U iteration done.

Alright... having "Mario" in the title of this thread keeps throwing me for a loop. I keep expecting MarioU discussion every time I click this thread.

Well then....I finally finished World 9 Monday night. The very last bonus level in the middle of the star was a lot of fun. Wound up using the penguin suit to finish it.

Gotta look into the challenges now. Probably going to save starting ZombiU until the holiday break - you know, get in the mood for it. :)

The Hori screen protector is no joke. I wasted my money and time on another one at first that was total shit and it was ruined while trying to get the bubbles out. The Hori one came in yesterday and went on like a dream. Can't recommend it enough.

Hands down one of the easiest screen protectors I've ever installed. I liked it so much, I bought the Hori one for my sons 3DS as well.

I've ordered the Hori twice on Amazon. They canceled the first order and the new one said it would ship on the 12/7. Got an email update saying maybe next week. :(

I've been avoiding Nintendoland until I get it.

Are screen protectors really necessary? Just wipe the screen down with a microfiber cloth every once in a while.

They are a must if you have kids and they want to use the device.

I must be the only one who can not put the damn screen protector on correctly. I tried putting one on my 3ds and screwed up so I haven't tried using any other ones after that.

You aren't alone.

I bought the Hori screen protector for my 3DS and then my 3DSXL and both times I tried to put them on I got frustrated with it and ripped it up and tossed it in the garbage. It likely doesn't help that I demand it to be PERFECT, with not even a speck of dust or anything under the screen and certainly not a single air bubble, no matter how tiny. I've given up on them and I'm not even going to attempt it with my gamepad. I just know it'll be wasted money yet again.

I've never had luck with this sort of thing. I tried to put one on my wife's original Nook I bought her a couple years ago when we were just dating and the same thing happened with that.

I have mentioned before, a lot of area malls have Invisible Shield or Ghost Armor kiosks. I personally use Ghost Armor. I use them so much the guys at the two area malls know me by name. I have it on family's iphones, ipads, Vita, 3DSs and just put one on Wii U Gamepad. Costs $20 to have them install it. For me, worth every penny. The extra $10 I spend saves an immeasurable amount of frustration trying to get screen protectors on correctly without dust or air bubbles.

Will replace shields for the life of the product for $10

My 7yr old will be using the Wii U and it's a must. He tends to drag the stylus a little extra hard across the screen. I also grabbed the Nerf Armor of the Wii U gamepad, as I don't want to take any chances when he decides to get a case of the drops.

The Hori screen protectors and Nerf armor has saved both his DSi XL and 3DS multiple times!

On one of the leaderboards, I'm ranked 13th. I might try that trial a few more times to see if I can take the top spot

How does it compare to Ninja Gaiden Black?

I know the Rayman demo went up today but was there a demo for Sonic Transformed in the eShop before today? They really need to organize the eShop a bit better because I think it's a real bad move not having a demo area. Maybe they will add it since the demos are finally coming out.

Also after seeing how long these demos take I can't see myself downloading any retail games.

Not that I'm planning on downloading any retail games either, but this doesn't make sense. You can download the games in the background while you're playing other stuff or you can leave your console on at night and set it to shut down when the downloads are complete.

It's not like you have to be staring at the screen, watching the progress.

If I'm going to be busy downloading system and game updates who wants to be bothered with retail downloads. ;) In all honesty I had my installs hang a bit today and it kinda worried me that the system might give me issues at times. I did end up buying a small downloadable game today and it was the only install that went smoothly.

But seeing as I already prefer having retail copies of things, I'd still rather have a CD than buy songs from iTunes, I just don't see myself downloading much. The only thing that might sway me a bit is that Deluxe Digital Program. I never did get many downloadable games for my original Wii the limited time reward incentive might motivate me.
