6) The second screen is bad ass, touch response is great and range seems to be pretty solid (System is downstairs and working fine on the gamepad upstairs)

Flipperbaby. Awesome.
"Well, there have been a few more flipper babies, yes." I'll add back anyone who adds me when I get home tonight. When I fancied myself a writer/director in college and just after, a buddy and I were Flipperbaby Productions. We never made it beyond public access. |

Really? Damn! I took it less than 20 feet into my bedroom and it lost connection.
My wireless HDMI devices also works from downstairs which a lot of people have had issues with. |

Using the gamepad felt pretty natural for the most part. I was surprised because I'm so used to traditional controllers. However, currently the game is only giving me a map on the gamepad screen, which would be fine except I have the exact same map on the HUD, meaning the gamepad is adding nothing. Additionally, when viewing cutscenes, the gamepad plays the exact same cutscene, and all I can think of is how the gamepad only has 3-5 hours of battery, so maybe they should try to preserve battery life by turning off the screen when it's not necessary. I guess it might be useful for going into the kitchen or something while the cutscene plays so you don't have to pause, but I should have the option to turn the screen off. I hear you can use the gamepad to mess with your inventory, which I can see being useful, but I don't have an inventory in the game yet, so I don't know. . I just updated the system and Mario U. The load times are insane. What the hell was Nintendo thinking?! I didn't know the gamepad has a stylus. This system is like a giant DS. Gonna call it now; "Nintendo DS classics coming soon to the E-shop!" |

if these things were going for higher on craigslist, i'd consider buying one. right now it looks like the 32GB ones are only going for about $500. $100 profit isn't worth it. wonder if the prices will only go up.

Are these things even rare? I was just at best buy an hour ago and saw 6 white ones and 3 black ones, then i went to walmart for some other stuff and saw a few of each in the case.

I then try to use the 20% off coupon on the pro controller, they don't accept it for electronics.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Sounds to me like Nintendo did a good job at getting more shipments out.

Did they scan the coupon or just tell you it didn't work? The coupon itself doesn't say anything about video game accessories being excluded.

There's really very little demand for it, a second screen is a bit less of a seller than having a controller you can pick up and swing around. For most people this is just the Wii HD with no killer app. |

that's kind of what i figured. buy one now. hang onto it until about 2 weeks before christmas. worst case scenario, i walk into gamestop, return it and i'm out $15.

Grabbed a pro controller and Mario. The pro controller is ligher than I expected it to be. Guess I'm used to the heft of the 360 controller.

Supermallet, once you try out ZombiU, you'll start to really see the potential in the system.
I just completed the World-2 mid point fortress in NSMBU literally with 1 "second" left. I entered the boss room with 17 on the clock, and had to act fast. I know, not that big of a deal, but it sure was exciting. |

Since when is it a failure to meet the demand?!?! People are acting like it's a failure because you can't find one! When you can't find one, THAT is a failed release! |

And I can see the potential in the system already. The problem is that I can see much more potential than Nintendo has actualized, so I'm disappointed by what is actually in front of me. If Nintendo can smooth out the wrinkles, and get seamless and useful integration of the gamepad into every aspect of the system (menu, apps, games, miiverse, etc.), this thing could be a powerhouse. |

Maybe, I found mine online. Did yours expire as of tomorrow?

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
So apparently 1 GB of RAM is dedicated solely to the OS and baked-in functions? Why the hell is it so slow to do simple tasks? The code on the OS must be absolute shit if it's so slow on 1 GB of RAM.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Amazon has now matched the Lego City Undercover price from Walmart - 49.96. This is going to be the big game for me on this system.
