Seems you would def need Episode 1 since you're choosing people who will live and die and carry on in your game.

I understand having to own it, but the save game should suffice and I shouldn't have to reinstall 1 every time I get a new chapter. I don't like keeping stuff installed that I am done with or don't play, it just makes everything cluttered.

Episode 2 definitely uses assets and such from Episode 1.

Yeah, you need all the character models, locations, all that crap. It's not just the saved data.

I really enjoyed this episode (and kind of figured out the cannibal thing after she didn't let you see the injured guy), but felt it kind of cheap that there person you saved (Doug or the reporter) was barely in the episode. It's like they push them out of the way so that they don't have to do too many branching stories, and just have them show up at the beginning and end.

Downloading WalkingDead100_v3.dmg from TellTale directly now. Hopefully this one works unlike v1 and v2

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I like the nickname folks have given the survivor you save in Ep. 1: Dougley.

I really liked Ep. 2, even though the plot "twist" was easy to figure out. There does seem to be a bug in that Kenny misremembered a decision I made in episode 1:

Spoiler:
I defended Duck, but he accused me of siding with Larry!

Yeah, I had the same problem with Kenny.

I've really enjoyed the first two episodes. Only wish they'd come out a little quicker.

No kidding. These episodes have been coming out slower than Anderson Cooper!

I read that even if you say anything involving reasoning with Larry (not necessarily siding with him) then it will be as if you disagreed with Kenny. Kind of a lame way of skewing it I say.

I really want to play again and pick all the fucked up options.

That or let all the conversation options just time out so that my character just looks socially inept.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I somehow turned on some kind of in game hint system, but now I can't find out where I can undo it. I tried the options but don't see anything...

I played the demo today and really enjoyed it, I'll have to download these when they are all available.

Pretty interesting stuff here about episode 2 choices. Spoilers galore on episode 2 though.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

IGN is reporting episode 3 will be out "as soon as next week." Maybe they just need to say the game is on a bi-monthly schedule.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Finally started this last night thanks to PS+. Played all the way through Ep. 1, and it's fantastic. I'm surprised how little buzz around DVDtalk this has gotten.

Some of the choices you make are kinda questionable. Choosing between Doug & Carly was beyond stupid.
Spoiler:
Carly barely had a crawler going towards her ankle and she has a gun pointed at said crawler. Doug has two zombies on his back about ready to enjoy his neck. Easy, Carly can fend for herself(either shoot zombie or run from a slow moving crawler, save Doug is the logical option. Oops, a walker comes out of nowhere and takes out Carly because she's apparently a moron.

Kinda bullshit.

But other than that it's been great. I've never been a fan of adaptive games like this because I want to see everything, but I'm really digging it in the Walking Dead universe.

Is anyone else waiting for all five episodes be be released before they buy? I want to play through them all at the same time, not one episode every other month or so.

This really is a fantastic game. I knocked the first two episodes and I want more. The wait is killing me.

I never play these Telltale games until they're all released. I actually have the first 2 on my HD in this case, because they were released for free to PS+ members, but I'm not going to play anything until they're all released (and if the first 2 weren't free, I wouldn't have considered a purchase until they were all released, although now I'm contemplating if I want to pay for the rest or wait to see if those are eventually free as well).

Can't wait for the 3rd episode! The first 2 have been a lot of fun.
