The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Anyone getting this? Reviews have been pretty good. Anyone played it yet?

I'm concerned about how large a file each part will be. Anyone know how big the Xbox version is total?

I'll probably pick it up as a fan of the show. I had no idea it was out already.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I will be getting it. I love Telltale Games, and classic adventure games in general. Though what I really want is Grim Fandango 2. I wish someone would Kickstart it.

Its not quite out yet. The Steam version doesn't unlock until tomorrow. I don't know about the console version.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Xbox.com has it listed for Wednesday but apparently that's still up in the air right now. With two other games definitely being released that day (Bloodforge and Deep Black), I'm thinking they'll probably push Walking Dead to Friday.

I don't think I'm patient enough for this one.

I've already got this pre-ordered from Telltale and should be playing it tomorrow.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Normally I play things on my Xbox, but I'm sitting here on my Mac and wondering if I shouldn't just shell out the $43 and get the "Almost Everything Pack"...

Noob question: They're not asking me for a platform of choice as I'm checking out... Does that mean that I pick it when I download or I can download it multiple times for any platform I'm on or is it a download-whatever-you-want-but-you-gotta-be-logged-in-wherever-you-are-to-play-it DRM thing? (haven't played games on a computer in at least a decade, never used Steam or anything like that)

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

If you order it from Telltale, you'll have the ability to log in and download the game onto any computer (Mac or PC). The Telltale version has a launcher that you log into again after you start it up. You can install it on however many computers you'd like.

I'm pretty horrible, I'd buy the "Almost Everything Pack" if it came with a Steam code.

Noob question 2: why? What's the difference?

I just like having all my games (or as many as possible) in one place. Like just now, I had to "reactivate" my copy of Arkham City, which meant I had to remember where in the fuck I bought the game from, and then figure out what my username/password was in order to get my key. It also makes remembering what my backlog is a lot easier when I have it all in front of me in a nice list.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Ah, ok, I didn't think there was a real reason for it. No more than me buying everything on the Xbox the last 6 years for achievements

Oh, it's a real reason. At least for me it is.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I think I'm going to break down and get the Almost Everything pack. I need to just start maintaining a spreadsheet of all the games I've purchased and where from.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I don't think the XBLA release is even scheduled yet and it probably wouldn't come out on a Tuesday anyway.

Even the direct download from TTG isn't available, but Steam is. No idea about PSN.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Yeah, what the shit. I figured I'd be able to play it by now. TTG fail.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

It's my fault. I bought a computer game and the whole world flipped upside-down.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Instead of playing this, I've been browsing the Telltale Games forums waiting for news on when it'll be out. So, in a lot of ways, it's a lot like the TV show: too much talk, not enough zombie action!

According to a couple sites I found the 360 release is slated for tomorrow. I'm hoping so, I'm excited to try this one out.

Small trailer spoiler:

Spoiler:
I loved him asking the zombie cop "Are you dead?" after shooting him in the face with a shotgun.

Just tried the demo on ps3 and immediately bought it. Damn good game.

evidently you're playing as a mentally disabled person. Gutsy move by Telltale Games!

I want to play this but the BTTF game bored the hell out of me by the third episode, maybe PS+ will offer it for free eventually.

I actually really liked the BTTF game and just downloaded episode 1 of Walking Dead.

Now, the Jurassic Park game? That was terrible.
