Re: Halo 4

Just went and saw Skyfall this weekend. $10.50 for 2 hours of entertainment. Finished Halo in about 8 hrs not counting multiplayer time and paid $60 for the game. Video games provide much more entertainment for the money. The comparison is definitely good.

Re: Halo 4

I've gotten maybe 20 hours in with Halo 4 between the campaign, multiplayer and co-op.

Then again, I did only pay $0 for the LE rather than $99.

Re: Halo 4

I will not touch MP, but I will get at least 25 hours of fun out of it...and my son who does play MP will get over 100...so 44 bucks well spent for me..

Re: Halo 4

343 has to fix the vehicle hijack "stun." Once you're kicked out you are frozen for at least a second leaving you a sitting duck. It's kinda weak.

Re: Halo 4

Not having touched multiplayer on Reach or ODST is certainly showing. I'm getting wrecked in every match. I hope winning isn't everything to you guys because when I randomly join your games I won't be helping much till I get major practice.

Re: Halo 4

minor spoiler about how Master Chief is perceived in the game..

Spoiler:
did anyone else find it weird that no one seemed impressed that you are still alive? You are a legend on earth, and they find you 4 years later alive, and not so much as "wow you are alive!"

Re: Halo 4

Finished the campaign.

Surprised there was no big boss battle at the end.

Halo doesn't usually have a big boss battle.

Re: Halo 4

You know, I really, really don't like the visor borders - it makes everything feel too claustrophobic. Also, there's just way too much lens-flare, and it's really annoying, almost like looking into a flashlight - did JJ Abrams direct this game?

Re: Halo 4

Played some MP this weekend and had a lot of fun. I just did some of the challenges as well (Requiem on legendary with Tough Luck on). It took me forever to finish that.

Re: Halo 4

Been down for me for the last week. I've been stuck in the fallback hoppers and can't even load spartan ops. I'm trading it in tomorrow and will pick it up again if they get their shit fixed.

Re: Halo 4

Yeah, about half the time I try to play I get stuck in the fallback hoppers as well. The fact that you can't even get into Spartan Ops when that happens is pretty shitty.

Re: Halo 4

Had no idea about their "hoppers." Pretty fucking lame. My friends and I backed out and eventually got in.

Me too and I hadn't played Halo MP since Halo 2. I was surprised that I didn't totally suck.

Re: Halo 4

If anyone is wanting to do the campaign on co-op let me know. I've been holding out for a friend and last night he said he's not sure when he can get around to it and if I wanted to go ahead fine. All i've been doing is the Spartan Ops for now and haven't even started the campaign.

I think that's why I like Halo MP better...because it's easier for crappy players like me.

Re: Halo 4

Just beat Halo 4 and finished the campaign on solo Legendary. Tough as hell, but challenging enough. I thought 343 Industries did a great job with this game. I can't wait to see what they are doing for Halo 5 (on the Xbox 720??).

Re: Halo 4

I haven't seen anyone else complaining about this, so I must be the only one, but when did Halo turn into survival horror. Well, maybe not horror, but definitely survival.

I KEEP running out of ammo for guns in the middle of fights, with little to no ammo/guns around me to salvage, so I have to back-track to the last place that had gun racks and take from there, and even that's not enough sometime. There's actually not that much less ammo around than before, it's just that it seems that the enemies take almost twice as many bullets to put down. It's not difficult, it's just really annoying. I don't remember enemies being such bullet-sponges in the other Halo games.

There's always been an element of that, but mostly on the harder difficulties. I can remember having to walk back through a whole level scrounging for a weapon with ammo when playing the original Halo on Legendary.

I'm playing on normal and I notice it. That's probably my biggest complaint with the campaign. I'm enjoying it but it seems like I run out of ammo all the time. It's not fun to have a couple great guns and then run out of ammo and have to go pick up a dropped needler just to survive.

Re: Halo 4

Use your special abilities as much as you can. That can save on ammo. Especially the auto turret.

Just finished solo campaign on legendary. Very tough but a fun challenge, good for 200 gamerscore.
