I've got mine thru Best Buy and see if they follow suit. Seems when one retailer throws in some credit, discount or some extra bonus others follow.

Sounds like good news for us getting the remastered version for the PS4....
The Last of Us: Remastered PS4 Is Next-Gen, "Loads High-Res Data & Way More To Fill 8GB, Its Still Faster"
Naughty Dog's Drew Thaler has shared some interesting new details regarding The Last of Us: Remastered for Playstation 4
Take a full disc. Up-rez literally everything (incl audio). Add 1GB MP maps, 5GB Left Behind. Fit on same disc. Load faster. Sixty."
"This is next-gen for me: compared to PS3, PS4 TLOU:R is loading higher-res data and WAY more of it to fill 8 GiB, and it's *still* faster."
"The Last of Us: Remastered for PS4. We're almost done, and it's beautiful.
"
He further clarified he was referring to both "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Last of Us: Remastered" with this tweet "This game is going to look so damn good."
"Both, but I was looking at TLOU:R when I said it!" clarified Drew.
"Both
… but I was looking at TLOU:R when I said it. Side-by-side it's just crazy how much better it is than PS3."
Lastly Drew stated that those who missed The Last of Us on Playstation 3, Remastered on Playstation 4 will be worth it.
" It'll be worth it!"

Looking forward to this. I sold my PS3 quite a few years ago, so this will be my first exposure to the game.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass on this. The first go around left such an impression on me that I actually don't wanna revisit it and possibly see flaws, etc that could dampen my opinion of it.

Gameinformer got a chance to play the new remastered version. A small but good detail on what they thought...

All I can say is that the game looks really good at 60fps. Playing it at 30fps would be a terrible idea. It's not like inFAMOUS SS where the game struggles to hit 30-35, TLOU is 55-60 the entire time.

* The game takes place over a period of several years, with each mission being set in a time period ala Mafia 2.
* Ellie will age throughout the game, ending at around 19 or 20
* Your choices will affect the personality she grows into - she'll be cold if you kill lots, psychologically damaged if you do unnecessary brutal things, etc
* There will be driving sections, but you won't be able to drive cars unless the mission puts you in one
* Stealth and non-lethality is a completely viable option - the section showed at E3 could have been entirely without ever being seen
* It's possible to pickpocket things from enemies - The example Naughty Dog used was you could skip entire firefights by sneaking up on a guy and stealing his keys.

Other games do that as well, and it's pointless. The only thing the light on the controller is good for is killing its battery life.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)
I have never bought a custom controller for myself (I bought my son one) but I am not interested in rapid fire, or special buttons...I want a custom ps4 controller with a better battery, and the ability to turn off the light. I would buy one of those.

50gb is more or less the norm these days so no surprise there.
