I was at Target yesterday and saw a ton of jade flashwing figures that weren't there on Saturday. It seems that Target may have restocked jade flashwing so call your local store if you are still looking. I also picked up a lightcore popfizz.

I noticed the Skylanders Giants starter packs are on sale at Toys'R'Us 6/2-6/8 for $39.99. It states not valid with other promotions, but I think that the $10 Happy Meal coupon would still apply making them $29.99 after coupon.

I've seen a lot of starter packs (original skylanders and giants) on Clearance at Target recently. Skylanders was 20.98 and the portal owners pack for Giants was 17.48

They only have a few months to clear that out and prepare for another all out assault on our money. Ugh!

Good thing it still works in the package. I have the Metallic Cynder from last year's NYC Toy Fair. ... and I still have it.

I tried to convince my 4 year old daughter that we didn't need to actually open all the skylanders when she first got the game but that obviously failed!

It's the same with my grandkids. They're content to play with them for a *while* in the package but after a couple of weeks they start wanting them opened. Especially my grandson simply because he plays "army" with them if we're not playing the game.

The packaging for my Metallic Cynder got crushed so we opened it anyways.

I'm a bit pissed about this Gamestop deal. My daughter waited in line this morning with her grandma and there were not too many people in front of them. Suffice to say that they still didn't get a Polar Whirlwind. Turns out that Gamestop got less than a dozen and this particular Gamestop sold more than one to people in front of my daughter. She walked out with a poster and nothing else.

Just got a $10 Battle Pack for my son and they tried to claim a $30 minimum purchase was required for the free sidekick. Luckily I had their website up on my phone clearly noting it was with any Giants purchase.

Just called and had them hold a Polar Whirlwind for us...gonna cruise up there now and see if I can get some free crap since I used to run that store

That truly sucks that she didn't get one. Our experience was far better.

We went to a GameStop that had a 9am open posted online (got there at 9:05) to find it's really 10am. There was *no* line and no one in the parking lot so we went to the WM across the street and looked at Lego and Skylanders for an hour. We saw *lots* of reposed Skylanders that are seemingly in short supply everywhere else (Lightning Rod, Slam Bam, and Wrecking Ball) as well as the new series 2 Drobot who looks *very* cool. They had several and I'm seeing it on Amazon for ~$29! I may have to go back for one just because... They also had all of the 3 packs in stock at this WM.

Anyway... at 10:05am we checked out of WM and went across the street to GameStop. The store was *empty* except for the clerk, my grandson, and me. I asked about Polar Whirlwind, the guy went in the back and came out with a box of 6. We browsed a bit, a couple of other people came in to trade games/systems. We checked out, asked about the free sidekick (he'd forgot) and selected Whisper Elf from the 3 they had. They also had Trigger Snappy, and Terrabite but didn't have a Gill Runt (the one he really wanted). They also didn't have the poster. I'd asked if we could purchase 2 (one for him and his sister) but they were limited to 1 per household. No problem... there's another GameStop a mile away in the mall so off we went.

We arrived at the Mall around 10:50am, again to a empty store. I see at least 8 Polar Whirlwind figures behind the counter. We took our time and looked for a DS game he'd seen a week or so back only to come up empty handed so went to the checkout. The girl saw his Skylander T-Shirt and said "You must be here for the new Skylander." Of course! We got the 2nd Polar Whirlwind for his sister, were given the Growth Chart poster and a few flyers about Swap Force. I asked about the free sidekick and she said they were only for people who purchased a "Giant" or "Battle Pack". I replied the online ad indicated simply a "Giants" purchase. She did some digging around, looked online, at the local brochure, and finally decided I was right. They had all 4 so he was able to get the Gill Runt he'd really wanted. His sister will get Whisper Elf (he'd actually selected that one because of her).

Score: 2 Polar Whirlwind, 1 Gill Runt, and 1 Whisper Elf.

I was slightly annoyed that they're charging $10.99 each for Polar Whirlwind but they've been doing this online so... I was also a bit surprised that the "GameStop Exclusive" I expected to be printed on the card is a sticker that's been applied. Does this mean it's really a 1 month "exclusive" after which they'll be in wide release?

They had price stickers of $999.99 on the sidekicks! The girl at the second store tried to run it through the register and it actually rang up at that price before she applied the promo discount! The guy at the first store just handed us the figure without running it through the checkout. My grandson saw the price in the car and asked if it was right so I looked at it thinking he'd misread the price. Nope! They had a $999.99 price sticker on the package!

The first store was really pushing Swap-Force pre-orders with a "They'll be a sell out like Giants" pitch. I didn't tell the guy that Giants was almost *everywhere* all the way through Christmas. Each store also had at least a half-dozen Ninjini which still seem to be in very short supply elsewhere. The 2nd store tried to sell me one of those (we have *3*).

Polar Whirlwind is currently available for order online from GameStop. You might also check to see if other stores close to you has stock. *Every* store within 100 miles of me shows to have these in stock with only 5 showing "Low Stock" (one of those is the first store we went to this morning).

Thanks for the replies. After my daughter called me to tell me that she didn't get a Polar Whirlwind I jumped online and was able to order her one but it was going to cost me close to 16 bucks with tax and shipping. Later in the day my wife wanted to go to the mall so I accompanied her and stopped by their Gamestop. Needless to say they had about ten of the figures in stock and the manager told me that only one guy showed up for their event. The biggest pain was having to call the Gamestop CSS to cancel my order because I was on hold for a CSR for 15 minutes while waiting in Gamestop with the figure waiting on me. My online order wouldn't give me the option to cancel so I had to call. At least my daughter is happy now and doesn't have to feel like she waited for nothing.
