Congrats on finding a Wham-Shell! We got *very* lucky and snagged one from the local Hastings right after they were released. I've not seen one on the shelf anywhere since!

If you've not tried zooLert give it a shot for your missing characters.

Here's the Skylanders tracker:

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I stumbled across Lightning Deals yesterday on some series 1 characters for $2.99 each! In spite of already owning a full set I picked up:

Hex
Sonic Boom
Cynder
Dino-Rang
Double Trouble
Stealth Elf (this makes *4* of these)

I missed getting another copy of Whirlwind. It'll be very nice to have doubles of Hex. She's a favorite, and powerful, character. The other doubles will also be welcome considering the series 1 characters don't have the hot-switch capability in Giants.

They are going to have these for $3 later today (I'm making assumptions on the characters based on descriptions):

Stump Smash (Smash the competition with this video game accessory for $2.99)
Eruptor (Flameslinger?) (Get this hot video game accessory for $2.99) - 9:11am PST
Bash (Bash your competition for $2.99) - 1:11pm PST
Boomer (Boom! Play with your friends for $2.99) - 1:11pm PST
Stealth Elf (Get this stealthy deal for $2.99) - 1:12pm PST

If you're not a prime member you'll need $25 worth for free shipping. Keep in mind the calculation for free shipping comes *before* the Lightning Deal discount(s) come into play. That means if you can get all three at the @1:11 mark they'll ship "free" for a total of $8.97 (before tax if you get that added).

Here's the link to the Video Game Lightning Deal page:

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

My son wanted all 4 minis and I thought we had sent in the forms quick enough but recently he received two Trigger Snappys and didn't receive Gill Runt. Anyone here get an extra Gill Runt that they would want to trade Trigger Snappy for?

I don't think they'll be doing Eurptor or Boomer as amazon doesn't currently have them in stock. Boom might be sonic boom again. The only two that they have in stock that they haven't done yet are Flameslinger and Drobot. Perhaps Boom is for Drobot?

Zoolert would be great if it had specific alerts for each skylander.

Check the darkspyro forums for people to trade sidekicks with. I think they just ended up saying screw it and randomly shipping sidekicks out while ignoring the requests. Some people got multiples of ones that others didn't get.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Why did they not make the power-up switch for the Giant characters like they did for the Series 2 figures?

They're probably saving that for series 3!

Good point about Sonic Boom. I totally missed the "Boom" in Sonic Boom when making my guesses. I also didn't take current stock into consideration. It's very possible Amazon has stock and is holding it back for the LD. They've already done this with a few DVD/BRs showing either a MP vendor or OOS prior to the deals. It would be good if those were actually for Flameslinger and Drobot. Either way I'll be sitting at a computer to see what comes up.

Because they *know* you'll purchase the Series 2 figures. It's a way to entice you to re-purchase the reposed figures you already have (and at a higher MSRP). It's not working at my house. It's actually less expensive to purchase Series 1 characters *again* in order to have one on each path and just switch them on the portal. Yes, you get character sprawl but you'd probably have that anyway if you purchase the reposed characters from Series 2.

Yeah, I noticed the $2.99 hints yesterday and it never occurred to me that they were going to sell skylanders. I figured it was some PC game download. I ended up getting Hex and Dino-Rang yesterday so now I just need Zap. I am sure that i will now see a zap 3 pack at Best Buy...

I now think Boom is for Lightning Rod as he's in stock.

Good call. It was Drobot and Stump Smash on the early LD.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

^You would think so but it wouldn't let me get another Sonic Boom (I got one yesterday). But it *did* let me get a 2nd Stealth Elf with the deal (also a purchase yesterday). That makes 5 of those total we have but the kids can always use the extras as gifts.

I am just surprised that they are already repeating figures for the lightning deal when they haven't gone through all the figures they have in stock.

You can set up email/text notification on any figure from any store(s) they track. All you have to do is register at the site first. When you click on the alert type it takes you to a page where you select the figure(s) and store(s) for notification.

^It looks to be what they had as LDs yesterday with the exception of Zook. That's the only one I've found so far that wasn't offered yesterday.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Went to WM earlier to try for a couple of copies of Brave combo back w/DMR coupon (~$12 out the door for both copies after coupon) and found they had *tons* of Skylanders figures out - *including* several boxes (14 or so in each box) of the glow-in-the-dark Sonic Boom. I snagged a couple. They'll be *great* surprises Christmas morning! Other than the glow-in-the-dark Sonic Boom there was nothing "new" that I saw.

Anybody have any extra sidekicks? We never got any. I could trade our flocked Stump Smash if that helps.

Where did you find the glow in the dark sonic boom? I didn't see him near the skylanders display.

^They were in somewhat plain cardboard boxes stacked on a pallet in the middle of an isle. Between *lots and lots* of other toys, etc.

The figure is pretty cool looking. It has Sonic Boom with a "baby" by her feet on the base.

I'll have to go back in a few hours and see if they have any left.
