Anyhoo, I finally finished the bastard, and the little psych evaluation at the very end, based on how I played, was surprisingly accurate...
Now bring on some DLC - I've heard the new story DLC will be huge, but it will involve Franklin/Michael/Trevor, and not any new playable characters like the GTA 4 DLC, though a grown up CJ Johnson from San Andreas might show up as an NPC.

It feels a LOT longer than 30 seconds to me as well. I'll have to time it next time I fire this one up.

Three minutes? It's thirty seconds, tops.

Just timed it and to load into story mode completely from the dash was 1:20. Not counting the Rockstar loading screen stuff and just the story mode save load was :39 seconds.
GTA Online is a whole other matter...

So I entered a cheat for invincibility for fun. Lasted five minutes. Ok fine.
I finished the game the other day and no achievements unlocked. Did I screw myself by fooling the game into thinking it was the same game session the whole time (since the Xbox was in sleep mode)?

i got this on the 360 on Games on Demand for $20. i am having issues getting it installed. I still have my launch 20 GB. I bought a 32 GB usb drive. Destiny is on my hard drive and it has to stay there because you cant play it from a usb drive for some reason. When I downloaded GTAV it went to my usb drive, but for some reason the install packs aren't going to the usb drive and i don't have enough room for them on my hard drive. This is quite irritating.
Also, I bought the usb drive from walmart. it is supposed work fine with the 360 according to the reviews i read. however the 360 gave me a warning that i may see performance issues because the usb drive doesn't meet certain specifications. Anyone else get a message like this before? Is it just a tactic to scare you into getting you one of those official 360 usb drives?

My guess is that you'd have to revert to a hard save point before you did the cheat and then continue on from there again if you want the achievements.

It said it would disable them for the session. Which I thought meant until I turn it off.
The sad (or funny) thing is I was using the cheat to fuck around. I wasn't on a mission and didn't need help with anything.
I'll probably just play it over in the future.

i finally got the thing installed on my usb drive. I am dumbfounded at how amazing this game looks on an almost decade old console. It looks fantastic. I didn't have much time to play but it looks like it will keep me busy for a long time.

Yeah, I think this has been posted before, but the difference is pretty huge:

That comparison makes me wish I waited for the PS4 version. Looks awesome, but I can't see myself re-buying a 1 year old game. If I didn't already have it, then sure.
