Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I didn't really think 4 was that bad, driving-wise. I've been replaying a few of the older games to get in a GTA mood and it was certainly an improvement over GTA3.
Also, on the "too much realism front", San Andreas often gets dinged for the eating and gym stuff, but realistically you only need to go to the gym something like 6 times for a total of probably five minutes. After that you're basically buff forever. And if you save every once in a while, you don't even need to bother with eating.

Naw, 4 drove and played fine, it was just a bit dull.

Is it just me or does the animation in the trailers look like crap? I'm talking about the human movements. I don't really care since this series was never about the cutscenes but damn.

For the ones getting the PSN version, you can start preloading at 12:00 am PDT on Monday. I guess the game is going to be activated at 12:00 am PDT Tuesday. It would had been great, for us Left Coasters, if they would have gone the East Coast route.

Hell, I might even hit a midnight opening for this and I never go to those. Last one was back when MGS 4 was released.
The dorkiest of the dorks this side of a Star Wars line, I tell you.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
So I started a Social Club crew called DVDTALK. I predict that I'll neglect it and the people here who play it more will end up leaving it and starting other crews. But join up if you're interested.
As always the Social Club offers bonuses. There's an exclusive gun and car plus exclusive haircuts and beards. You can also go to the Facebook-like lifeinvader.com and "stalk" several pages that will get you in-game discounts.
Per one of the leaks there's gonna be an iFruit app for tablets and smartphones and I assume that will unlock exclusive in-game content as well.

The Max Payne 3 thing is just because the crew feature was rolled on that game and will continue with GTAV. The crews carry over from game to game.

OK, I joined the crew. I'm on PS3 if that matters. Not sure how this crew thing works, but I assume we would want to be on the same console, right?

I'm in too. Looks like we unlock something when we hit 25 members. 18 more to go -- get with it, people!
BTW : Life Invader is brilliant social satire. So close to real life that it's almost hard to tell it's a joke.
