Why would you do that? You're re-playing a bunch of levels for more than 5 times each, and keeping yourself from playing the DLC just once? Doesn't make sense.

I only have one character (Siren) and I stopped playing when I got to level 42 just so I can play the upcoming DLC before maxing out. And if they up the level-cap, all the better.

There is a new compatibility pack for the 360 in advance of tomorrow's new DLC, but a lot of users are reporting that when trying to download the pack they keep getting errors. Gearbox says they are working on a fix.

It was fun to level up and experiment with all the characters and their skill trees. Plus I just assumed the DLC would include some kind of player upgrades (higher level cap, more skill points, bigger bank, etc). I'm pretty shocked that the 3rd DLC is about to come out and none of them have really added anything to the game except a few more locations to grind through.

Looking forward to another DLC pack...ready to dust this off. I don't think I've played a video game (other than my iphone) since before Christmas.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Has anyone got the Compatibility Pack to DL as of this morning? I was up to 12 midnight flipping back & forth on playing solo and trying to DL the pack all to no avail.

I did venture off to the Gearbox Forums>BL2>Technical Issues and apparently the issue had gone on all day at the start of the realease. When I shut down at midnight it still hasn't been fixed. Gearbox was posting there and on their twitter about the update and they were working on it with MS. Can't say about the PS3 or PC players but it affected all 360 owners.

I was able to get the Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC, but the compatibility pack still isn't working.

Right now it's 12:47 Central and the compatibility pack is DL. And something I already noticed is the size of the pack is larger now than it was last night. When everyone was trying last night it was around 215mb. When I started DL, it's now around 258mb.

Over at the Gearbox Forums, everyone are reporting the DL is working fine and no issues so far...

I'm just waiting for the season pass and the Gaige pass to go on sale on PSN. It's already happened on PC and 360... Wonder what they're waiting for.

I caved and bought the season pass today. Downloading all the DLC has been a lengthy process. Looking forward to getting back into the game since I haven't played much of it in weeks.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I played the Hammerlock DLC for about a half hour last night. Love the new varieties of enemies and love the music with the digiridoos. Some of those witch doctors are real motherfuckers, and it's nice to see the drifters return from the first game.

If any of the PS3 crew is up for shooting some stuff tonight, I'll probably be on.

didn't dfo any of the new DLC yet but have a friend who has gone thru and faced the final Boss. He said alone he's pretty much impossible and one of the thoughest yet. And he's throughly knowledgable on about every aspect of Borderlands with Shields & Weapon combos. We're waiting till we can get four of us and go thru.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

So far I have played as 3 classes, a 50 commando, 42 siren, and 25 gunzerker. I will say the Gunzerker is by far the hardest at the beginning, once I got him to level 20 or so and gave him hand me down good gear from other characters he started rocking. I can't imagine starting off as him first play through, he is totally gear dependent, no turret, phaselock or deathtrap to hide behind.

Almost like me...Siren at 50, Mechromancer at 50, Soldier at 41 and Gunserker at 27. The Siren was my favorite (tied with Mordecai) in the first one and that's who I started with this time around. I then went with the Mechromancer, followed by the Soldier.

We were talking the other day and in terms of Mods the Siren probably has the best all around and more available. The Mechromancer is second, then the Soldier with the Assassin and Gunserker last. I had no trouble finding mods for the Siren or Mechromancer. Getting ones for the Gunserker has been a chore. Even at Level 27 now I'm using ones at Level 15-18 and it's few in between several levels.

Though he doesn't have some outside power or weapon to deploy, with the right skill points and guns in place he can do some damage. i don't think his skill tree is as good overall as the others. About 2/3 is about health, movement, recoil, reload, cooldown and ammo. The "Gunlust" tree is where I have most of mine points now and yea...until you get around Level 17-18 it's a stuggle. If you want to play with the points on any of the skill trees just click the character and have at it...

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Okay, Hammerlock DLC is the first time I've run into any real difficulty problems with this game.

First, I'm at level 40, and they keep throwing level 43 & 44 guys at me who chuck spears that kills my entire shield, they're all in large groups and of course you have the witch doctors that heals everyone 100% after just a few seconds. Any 2 of those I can handle, but all three are keeping me from playing the DLC. I guess I can level up some in the regular game, and go back since when I'm at 44 they'll stay the same and I'll be able to take them. It's just that the game had never been this unfair before.

One reason why I'm holding off playing my two Level 50 Characters as much as possible. Both still have several missions in the normal and DLC parts to finish but I'm like why waste the XP. So far now it's the two other characters (27 and 41) and play the normal game.

This game is the best when you play multiplayer with your friends. A lot of bad opinions about it is based on single player.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Just beat the first play through at level 33 and had about $30,000 or so. I did a lot of arenas that were above me because I figured I was too low for the end of the game, so I died a lot and had to rebuy a lot of ammo.

Which DLC is the best one to start with first? I haven’t even really looked at them yet. To give an idea of what I like, I thought the Claptrap mission was the best for BL1, followed by Knoxx, then Zombie, never played the arena one and have zero desire to.

http://orcz.com/Borderlands_2:_Golde...st_Shift_Codes is a wiki for the golden key shift codes (PC/PS3/XB360), containing a list of those that are still valid from mid November thru now. I found three that I hadn't used yet (IGN, Claptrap Web Series Season 2 Ep 2, and Facebook Doomsday Confession Generator), so it might be worth a look if you think you missed some, or you're new to the game.

You've actually have several paths...

Stay with the normal game and do the "2nd playthru"

or...

Start with the DLC Packs which start at Level 30 (Level 50 on 2nd playthru)

If you want the DLC then it really doesn't matter but the "Pirate DLC" was first. Both are are fun and different. If you can find a friend to go thru it'll help. There are a couple of areas that might be a challenge even at Level 33. The Pirate DLC to me has the two toughest bosses of the entire game. Cannot say much on the new DLC since I haven't played it yet.

Just be aware if you level up to far ahead and decide to start the 2nd playthru in the regular game, the XP drops from enemies will be little to nothing. But you can run thru a biot faster to complete the missions you already know about which helps.
