I wonder if beating The Warrior is the one place the "Juicy" guns drop...of course some say they don't care for it much since it's mainly a high power close range scatter gun. Just hate the long way in getting there but getting to Level 35 now and above some of the Level 30 weapons will become useless.

I was playing some pending side missions, in Arid Badlands I think, and found some level 52 skags. I didn't have the right weapons and they kicked my ass.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a juicy shotgun in the Torgue DLC. I've seen it a few times in the vending machine.

Well next stop is Torgue DLC though we've gone thru it at Level 50. In some parts not just once but three times. Even last night going thru Captain Scarlett we were seeing a bunch of eridium drops which left us asking ...why?
I'm still growing more frustrated and disappointed with the way the Leveling is especially with the DLC. Since Captain Scarlett Pirate came out technically it should've had emenies above Level 30 much in the same manner when Zombie Island came out. As I put in several posts back in the first BL both The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Knoxx Armory not only allowed you to level up but also had more and better weapons. In BL2...I've yet seen any drops or offers close to Knoxx Armory or facing Crawmerax. Neither Mr.T or The Leviathan comes close to them. I may pop in the first Borderlands and just check all my "Banks' at Moxxies just to compare.

yeah, you still get eridium in torgue dlc, too. i can sort of see it because some of the guys you farm cost it to get in, but they should drop that much less frequently than the torgue coins that come in the newest dlc. that's not really the case, though.

Yeah the leveling in Scarlett is off. I'm going through the first time now at 38 and it's a cake walk. They definitely could have done better in regards to that.
All DLC should scale to within a couple levels of your character. That way it doesn't matter if you play it on release day, after the campaign or in the middle of your campaign.

beat the newest dlc. it is good, but not great. i think it's funnier than the other one, but it's not very long. seems like everything is pretty compacted together, meaning there aren't many areas to explore.

Just started True Vault Hunter mode and made it to Sanctuary. Do we not get anymore eridium upgrades if we maxed out on the first playthrough?

Was looking around on the Gerbox forums last night in the BL2 General section and found this one interesting topic from Nov 18th.
"Level Increase to be Handled Differently Than BL1"
From a IGN article....
Looking ahead, Gearbox says it’s already thinking about the next downloadable content. Eventually, the developer has plans to raise Borderlands 2’s level cap, but not in the way you might expect. “We’re discussing trying to do it in a more interesting way,” Gearbox vice president of marketing Steve Gibson told IGN. “We think people are going to be really happy when we do get to it. It’s a little bit different way of doing it. Yes, the number will go up, but there are some other things associated with it that we’re trying to do an even better job of.”
Many there were trying to guess on how this will work...increasing skill tree points, expanding the skill tree, collecting eridium or other stuff. The topic is here in case you want to glance it over...
http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/sh...d.php?t=198947
FWIW... they have pretty much the same grips and concerns on going past the Level 50 and getting more out of the game than what's there now. Many are saying the same things like far more and better drops in BL1 than in BL2 but the weapons are crazier in the new one.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012
The drops in the first game were NOT better than the drops in this one. I keep hearing that, but it simply doesn't have any basis in my hundreds of hours of experience. Almost every orange gun I got in the first game was from farming the chests in the Descent and Knox's warehouse, and even then, it took a long time to get anything. Just like the new game, the drops in BL1 were virtually all white or green, as they should have been given the rarity scale.
Further, BL2's drops are improved with
- Guns are farmable from specific bosses (BL1 was fully random), so if I want gun X, I can farm it in an hour or two in most cases.
- BL2 gives much better mission rewards (The Law, Heartbreaker, Teapot, Bad Touch, Veritas, 1340, Deadly Bloom, Flame of Firehawk and several others)
- Shields are far more varied and interesting (though I miss health regen)
- Grenades are more varied and interesting
- Skins and heads are cool additions
- Enemies are more varied and require some variation. You can get through the entire BL1 campaign with only fire weapons.
Folks should go back and play the first game, because I don't think they are remembering it right.

I think I should've clarified about the "drops"...many feel there were better drops in BL1 in terms of quanity but in BL2 the drops have better quality

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012
There was also tons of white and green in BL1 and you might have seen three blue guns in the first 5 hours, two of which were the lady finger and the nail clipper, and the other was probably in a vending machine, and you couldn't afford it. My only orange gun in my entire first playthrough (even with two players) was an orange assault rifle (Ogre), and I was playing a siren, so it wasn't terribly useful.
It wasn't until the Knoxx Armory glitch that the quantity of drops got absurd. You could open chests nonstop for 20 minutes in there.
In contrast, I got a Conference Call, a Deliverance, a Kerblaster, a Bitch and a Pyrophobia in my first playthrough in BL2 without farming. Also, one orange shield is a mission reward (Flame of the Firehawk). There's also no reason you couldn't farm bosses as you go through the game to get specific guns you want. That wasn't an option in the first one.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012
Wondering about other people's favorites now that you've had the game for a while.
Shields: I usually roll with a Bee shield, but I think the Black Hole is kind of interesting to use as the Siren since I don't spend a ton of time behind cover. Some of the turtle shields have grown on me provided they have a short delay, and I love spike shields. I tried farming an Impaler from the Warrior the other night, but he wasn't giving up anything Orange.
Grenades: I probably use grenades more than most folks here. They are plentiful in ammo chests, and there are some really fun ones. My favorites are bouncing Corrosive Clouds, any Homing Transfusion, or the one I usually have equipped, the Sticky Homing Bonus Package. I love the overkill, but every now and then it sticks to a dude who's running at me.
Relics: With the Bee, I often use a 30% shield capacity relic, but otherwise, I like to use cooldown with all classes. I use the vault hunter relic when farming, though I'm not sure it does anything.

- Purging Infinity: Great for farming, endless ammo
- Conference Call: Obviously
- Perma-Sharp BabyMaker: For instakills
- Maggie: Simple, fast and powerful
- Hornet: similar but slightly better than the Teapot depending on the model you get
- Torgue Spitter: Purple, but still my go-to assault rifle. Recommend using it like it's a semi-auto for better accuracy
- Bad Touch: Purple, but trumps the Bitch and Hellfire due to health regen
- Nukem: Almost always an instant revive. Not for use otherwise...too dangerous
- Hellfire: Worth farming if you already used your one chance to get a Bad Touch
- Bitch: What can I say, I like SMGs, and this one does serious damage

If you're on tonight and see randomgarbage on, I'd love anything in that range since my character at 37 is getting stuck since I'm rushing through the story line. I posted what I have earlier in this thread for 50's but I do have a few lower level items and I plan on farming for lower level most of the night.

The bulk of my stuff is hand-me-downs. With Maya at Level 50 and Mechromancer 35 I've got a total (5) Orange on my own. I know for a fact several others have had about the same luck in getting stuff despite having at least two characters at Level 50. They too played the first BL and they too say by far and wide the amount and selection far better than now. I bet I can go back to Crawmerax, play ten times and get better stuff than what it's taken me to get in BL2.
That said the guNs so far in BL2....
Loaded Maggie...hands down insane rapid fire power with the Bee and good mod. It's always in my rotation
Conference Call Shotguns...a must have that has good range, spread and loads of power. I keep one in my rotation as well.
Infinity Pistols...not a load of power compared to the standard ones but with The Bee Shield and a good mod can deliver a constant punch without the worry of ammo. In some Boss battles a good one to keep in the rotation.
Hellfire SMG...these were a must with the Siren in the first BL game. With her mod and the classic Hellfire she was devastating. This can light up anything.
Slagga SMG...at 3108x3 with a 115 magizine she is brutal and fun to play with. I almost use her more than the Hellfire.
