It doesn't have to be night either. If you wanted to get some time in during the day this weekend, I'd be up for that...Saturday or Sunday morning would be good.

Thoughts on what characters you want to run (for the co-op)?

re: Battlefield Talk
I plan to run Siren. I don't personally think it's all that important that we even play different characters, though the team perks do help a lot later in the game.
The more I look, the skill trees make Gunzerker look like he might be fun...sort of like Berzerker in the first game, but instead of punching, he goes apeshit with two guns with multiple perks from the skill tree.
The Commando looks pretty straightforward, but super effective with multiple turrets and shields/healing.
I can't figure the Assassin out. At first, I thought he'd play a little bit like the Siren in the first game, but his specialty is sniper rifles, which doesn't seem like it would mesh as SMGs did with that kamikaze style gameplay.
My copy shipped, and I suspect I'll get it on Friday.

Even though I have no current plans of picking this up, I have been following the threads on it and everyone seems to like the fact that the Gunzerker dual wields but think he is too slow in action. You may want to save that frustration for later.

The Berzerker was always slow in the first one but he was still a fun character to play with

re: Battlefield Talk
FYI, you can drop in and out of your friends games at any point. When you start your game, all your online friends show up on the main menu and you can just jump right in their game seamlessly as long they don't already have 4 players. Pretty cool. When you select their game, it'll tell you if it's a good match or not (ie they're too far ahead of you). There's really no need to plan specific times to play unless you feel like you need to be exactly equal to your coop partner(s). Anyone can jump right any of my games if i'm not too far ahead. I'm not a loot hoarder, I promise.
Plus I already have a couple characters going so who knows which one I'll be using at any given time.

re: Battlefield Talk
Last time, I had a coop Hunter that I only played online with Chew. I also had a single player Siren (that I also used to play online with randoms), and a character I played only with Diecast. I also had one that I drug along splitscreen that I named "mule" because I used him to carry stuff.
But my favorite was the character I played through with Chew because we only played those together and we were always within a half level of each other. I'd like to keep a pure character that I play with one or two of you guys, if anybody else wants to.

I thought he was a freaking riot to play, and it was halarious to listen to him flip out in coop games, but yeah, I don't think I ever finished the game with him. I definitely never found rocket launchers to be all that useful.

It was by far my favorite class. I rolled the Berzerker with revolvers and rocket launcers. He was especially beastly with scoped revolvers. I loved to rush in yelling with that character.

I get it. It's definitely nice when everybody's on the same level and not having to repeat missions if your partners aren't as far along (or worrying that you've missed stuff). I was just throwing it out there in case anybody wanted to just jump in for short bursts and not have to coordinate specific nights and times. I'm ok with people popping in and out. You're gonna have to change the settings if you don't want your friends to join you... the default is that whatever game you start is open to your friends list too. You'll see how easy it is when you start playing.

re: Battlefield Talk
Yup!
I actually used him (thinking he was a Berzerker, actually) as a tag along to increase the quality of the loot I'd get. Pretty sad thing to do for loot, but he was handy for farming New Haven, that descent at the end of the game and later for farming Knoxx's vault.
He ended up as a level 61 with no skill points spent and no weapons equipped.

re: Battlefield Talk
I also used him for duplicating weapons.
Give him a gun from another character...run him to a save point, but not the other character...exit game to XMB...both characters saved with the weapon.
I have probably a dozen copies of the Hellfire to end all Hellfires (scoped, rate of fire ~12, damage ~150, clip ~50). I gave one to Chew, and it pretty much ruined the game for us.
Found a similar one. The damage on this one is higher than mine, but most of the damage is from the fire elemental anyway, and I think you could use mine at level 48, which made it better IMO.

Managed to use the $30 off coupon from Best Buy on the Premium edition. After tax Premium only cost me just under $35. This is before I trade in this 3rd copy of BF3 I have...

Gatorshea hooked me up in this way with a couple of duplicate weapons before my original Phatty yellow lighted.

I will eventually pick up Borderlands 2 but time is short and I have a pile of shame that I really need to knock out.
I've still got to finish:
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
AC: Revelations
Crisis 2
BF3 single player
MW3 single player
Black Ops single player
Fallout New Vegas
Batman Arkham City
Skyrim
Plus all the smattering of multiplayer stuff we work on.
Plus I have to play catch up on TV episodes of Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Louie, etc...

I am 240+ hours into Skyrim with one character and thats without touching The Dark Brotherhood or the Civil War quest Lines. i love the game. I soooooooo wish it had some coop. I was heavily into Oblivion - I put about 300 hours into that game.
