BFBC3 rumors (or embellished resumes.)
Yep!

I just hope they keep the tone light and the destruction crazy like in BC2, and I hope they pull forward a bunch of the maps as a pack or in the game proper.

I was planning to play some BF3 tonight (and still will if others are dying to play it), but my general feeling is "fuck that game". I'll likely be on BC2 if anybody wants to squad up.

re: Battlefield Talk

Saw OG on for a bit. I was mic'd up, but I don't know if you could hear me.

After OG left, this dude "FEDERAL...something" was running around with the recon kit and lightweight and just knifing people like crazy. He probably got me 10 times in two rounds on Arica Harbor and two rounds on Oasis...two maps perfectly suited for that kind of douchebag playstyle. I did get his tags twice, and my team won all four rounds, so there was some redemption, but he had me watching my 6 in a big way.

I also had my mic on and could hear you. Not sure what happened there. Had to call it a night at a reasonable time, though.

re: Battlefield Talk

Played a bit tonight with Lee, Spatch, OG and Octo, and we had some pretty good rounds.

I'm not sure whether any of you guys were left for this, but I had a funny moment on Arica Harbor where I was following a dude to nab his sweet dogtags, and guys kept spawning on him as he was running...and getting knifed by me.

I also found the same group of 3 guys camping and knifed at least 2 of the 3 on 3 different occasions. I ended up with double digit dogtags that round...something like 13 total.

I finished up my Vietnam trophies a few nights ago. Would anybody be willing to help me with Onslaught on hardcore to get 100%?

I tried it the other night with randoms, and it's pretty impossibe with most of the douchebags that play this game. Everyone running out into the fray, even when they're the last man standing.

re: Battlefield Talk

I think I'd be game for that...bet it's brutal though.

Imagine we'd need 4 players...(edit to add), and I would think that a lot of medics would be in order.

Supposedly it's not that bad if you have a coordinated squad and take your time, at least that's what I've read, haven't the ablity to put it into practice yet.

Also, this may be the one game mode that rewards you for having a douchebag sniper on your team who doesn't want to get into the fray. Because if everybody else dies, at least you have someone in a safe location you can spawn on.

re: Battlefield Talk

I haven't played Onslaught for a while and not more than a few times but yeah, that sounds like fun. When were you thinking? I might be up for it tonight. Depends on if we get a sitter who can watch our girl so we can catch The Dark Knight Rises. Otherwise we'll probably not see it for several weeks, looking at our schedule, and man it's tough to avoid spoilers already.

I should be on at 8 Eastern or so...if we can get to 4 players, perhaps we can break out and do this.

Provided you don't stop playing the game after you get the trophy, of course.

re: Battlefield Talk

The greatest thing in my life right now is that I'll never have to play Onslaught Hardcore Isle Inocentes ever again. That's the greatest thing in my life right now.

That and having a kid.

lol @ Spatch. Thanks guys, as frustrating as it was those first several rounds, I ended up having a lot of fun. We'll get Valparaiso another day.

Agreed.

That chopper was brutal. You wouldn't believe how disheartened I was when I hit it with my Gustav, with both explosives upgrades, and realized that I'd have to hit the damn thing twice.

I think I'm gonna need to see Cactus on a couple nights of Conquest before I do that last map again. Just sayin.

re: Battlefield Talk

No worries. I actually had a good time after that initial frustration. Heck, I'll do it again tonight if you guys are around. I think we'll probably knock out Valparaiso on the first couple of tries.

I just hope when you're done trophy whoring, you play with us on occassion.

re: Battlefield Talk

I might be around tonight, depending on how much stuff I get done. I work tomorrow morning so I can't be up too late. Maybe what, like 10:00pm EST to start?

For sure I'll play with you guys still.

Tonight I don't think I'm gonna make it out though. Last night was really late for me, and my youngest had her 2nd birthday party today, and now I'm exhausted. I think I'm going to bed as soon as they do. I'm off work all next week though, so I'll be around.

Cool, say when, and we'll wrap that up for you.

Caveats still apply...have to still play with us every now and then.

re: Battlefield Talk

On a whim, I fired up Conquest this morning and created an Onslaught lobby on Valparaiso.

After about 10 minutes of sniping and dropping mortars, a dude dropped in, and he was mic'd and cooperative. We struggled for a bit...maybe 20 minutes before a third and fourth dropped in, both with mics but in marginal english.

Once we had 4 players, we rolled Valparaiso and did the other 3 just for grins. None of them took more than 2 tries.

re: Battlefield Talk

Had to get out of that White Pass map last night...couldn't keep running into the meat grinder. Overall, a tough night which ended with me getting booted from a round I was doing pretty well on. Figures.
