We'll call it the safe zone.

BTW - I love the fact you can play your own music/playlist while playing Burnout. More games need to do this.

I'm going out of town (again), this time for five days. Perfect chance for you to surpass my ranking, shumway.

No way. I don't have enough time to do it! My wife would kill me if I played it around the clock. Played some really tough matches last night, though I did have the high points of another gold for my knife and aks-74u as well as a final double kill for the Elite Multiple Target Combat award. That was a nice 15k point swing. Also finally managed to get a double kill with a mortar strike and earn the piddly bronze with it.

I can't believe how much this game has made me look at stats. I can actually look at my stats on the bfbcs site for long stretches of time to see where I am improving and what weapons or vehicles I should focus on next. The whole star concept for gadgets/weapons/vehicles has taken hold of me much more than the same type of thing on CoD. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if the stats were only available in game like on the CoDs, not sure. I just know I'm turning into a whore for the info.

I'd probably be in the same boat if i could access the stats from my job.

No cell signals in the basement level of the hospital and to top it off my department has lead lined rooms. There are three very specific areas (3' x3') in which you can get an incoming signal for texts/voice-mail notification.

I just love how Shum went so completely balls deep into this game after playing all that CoD.

re: Battlefield Talk

I hope you enjoy the extra seasoning I gave them for ya.

Happy to say that particular round wasn't a total loss; I crossed the 1,000 kill threshold with my old pal, Carl Gustav.

When I'm playing with friends or a good squad, I don't feel CoD can touch this game. When I'm getting pwned and wishing I wasn't playing, not so much.

Yeah, I'm such a douche I had to message you after I snagged them. LOVED your response about rubbing them all over your balls first.

re: Battlefield Talk

I tried but it only lets me have 25 images on one post.

Would I get to post more if I was a premium member?

I suppose we could eliminate anyone on the non-DVDTalkers roster who we really don't see much anymore (though I wonder how many of them are simply as a result of chess being deployed for the time being and whom we'd likely see back later this fall... although by then we may have moved on to Battlefield 3).

Thoughts, group?

One thing we can do for Battlefield 3 is have posts #2 and #3 be for DVDTalkers and non-DVDTalkers, respectively, with the thought the group of PS3 players may grow with that new release. Is that a thread worth starting to get it up and going the way we want / need it?

re: Battlefield Talk

Has anyone else gotten the Battlefield 3 beta invite yet? I got an email last night saying I was in and they would start it up in September.

re: Battlefield Talk

Awesome handful of rounds in a squad with KTown and DieCastHairMtl, and then Yawmush, Nicholls82, and IveLostR2 all hopped in, too, and it was another great few rounds. Most of them are still on, but it's bed time for me. Finally moved the M-14 into my #3 weapon after not touching the M-60 nor the medic class for months.

I made this thread title intentionally vague for the purposes of moving on the BF3...or not depending on how it works out.

My guys who will continue to play have continued to play (Ktown & Diecast). Gonzo and Patroneus prefer to play hardened, so you won't likely see them much. I'd be surprised if Hunter or Buddha stuck around.

I'd limit post 2 to DVDTalkers, and I think 25 is a pretty ambitious number based on 2-3 years of past experience trying to herd these cats.

re: Battlefield Talk

I was going to say, I don't think I've run into Gonzo or Patroneus since at least March. Maybe I'll take off a few of those guys and leave room for more DVDTalkers and get nic's brother on there, too.
