I'm by far the least of your worries. I didn't even know it was you when I knifed ya. It's Nic and R2 that'll be gunning for your scalp.

I have the most success either with anti-aircraft guns or when somebody manages to plant a tracer dart on the helo. I've gotten lucky a couple of times otherwise-- but those are the two relatively effective ways to take them down.

Dont get too cocky, I almost had you, and then realized you don't get a second chance to knife someone who knows your there, so I emptied my gun into you. Only after I killed you did I realize it was you, otherwise I would have risked it and gone for the knife again.

So I jumped off of Warhawk around 10ish to start a private lobby since I saw we had the numbers for it. by the time I had the lobby set up sauce, yawmush and diecast jumped offline. And then we still would have had the numbers but Ktown and Flip were sitting in limbo. After waiting forever we (nic, r2, slider, ogs, ktown, digi, ding, me and later - beefy) took over a conguest lobby. We rolled over the other team of 2 or 3 for a while. Then others joined the other team and they rolled over us while we were in full goof off mode. Slider suicided us a couple of times on the ATV's. and I was Carl Gustav sniping. I have no idea if we won or not since.....well its Battlefield. We tried to set up another private match and by the time we had the numbers it kept telling me it was unable to find a match for us. WTF?
called it a night after that. Sorry guys.
I think that BFBC2 is great but they really gotta fix the party system, the private matches and the ability to communicate in game for BF3.

So, I'm hoping that all of the shenanigans we had trouble with last night were at least partly attributable to the PSN issues that were going on last night. (I googled the message you (Cruz) were getting when trying to join games and it appears that logging out/in of PSN/XBL fixes them, so this would seem to support this idea.)

re: Battlefield Talk
It still blows me away that a game as sophisocated as BC2 in terms of physics, destruction, scale and lighting has so many issues on the front end. I can't imagine that writing code for "if greater than = win" could be that fucking complicated in comparison.
I get the occasional lockup, but I think that has as much to do with PSN as it does with the game. I hardly ever have any trouble hooking up with friends or finding a game.

I am glad there are no douchebags in this game like there are in CoD.
Had a very frustrating night of spawn camping last night. We had a game with me, ktown, and flip where couldn't even get away from our spawn point without getting sniped.

re: Battlefield Talk
You have to be completely overrun in BC2 to get spawn-camped since all you need is one squadmate or one flag to spawn elsewhere. When a map reaches that point, drop out and find a new one.

re: Battlefield Talk
I agree BFBC2 does do alot of the gameplay so well but the interface and front end is so bad. It is never obvious to me if we are winning or losing. They definitely need to take a lesson from some of the other games we have played as a group (CoD, Warhawk, Bioshock 2, Red Faction) for how to use a nice interface / lobby system. The score is much more obvious in those games
Each team starts with tickets...can't remember, but I think it's 200. Tickets count down when your teammates get killed and also count down based on objectives held in Conquest. When a medic revives somebody, you get that ticket back.
The only problem with winning or losing is the pop up screen at the end that often says you won when you lost or vice versa...but if you're watching the score at all, you know who won, and you still get credit for the win in your stats.

It's on your mini-map. It will have your team on the top left and the other team on the top right. The numbers show how many spawns your team has left. Obviously if you are defending on rush you have unlimited spawns, but otherwise it's important. If you are playing hardcore 100% of the time it's not obvious, but that is the only example I can think of where it is the case.

Well, I rolled back into town last night after over three weeks away and have had some good times with ogsoley and DieCast. I'd say I had good times with DarthVong, but he took my dogtags. Bumped up to Level 30 and I'm pretty sure that once my stats reload the Carl Gustav will be my #1 weapon over the knife.
Missed you guys a lot and I'm excited to play a little this week. Please make sure to announce any community games.

Me and few squadmates found a new fun game within the game.
It's called: MY HOUSE
Map: Arica Harbor CQ
Objective: B garage
This is the garage that's shut up when the game starts. Object is to pack as many team mates in the garage and hold it as long as you can. At one time we had 6 Medics, 2 Wookies, 1 Assault and 3 Engies in the garage. LMAO!
Scary thing is 99% of the time by doing this we win and usually get gold squad. It's funny as hell.

I have my engineer spec'd for just those kind of shenanigans: Carl Gustav/Explosive Upgrade/Ammo Upgrade. It's normally for helicopter hunting, but I think it would do nicely for clearing out a small space full of douchebags.
Bet you were getting Gold Squad primarily because of all the medics reviving each other.

re: Battlefield Talk
I'm really starting to have a love/hate relationship with this game. I LOVE playing with people from the board/frizby's buddies, mainly Diecast. We play with teamwork, get things done, etc. I HATE playing when I join a map where either you can't join a squad and/or your squad or the blueberries can't communicate and/or put strategy together. Generally on those maps the other team is completely douche'ing it up and/or steamrolling the hell out of our team. I have started quitting if we can't turn it around in a couple of rounds instead of in it for the long haul. I just don't have enough time to play to waste being frustrated completely.

I can see that, shumway. When I pop into a squad of randoms, I immediately ask who has a microphone so we can do a little squad play. Usually, it's silence from everyone else although every once in a while I get a very excited, very relieved, "Yes, PLEASE!" from one or two of them (rarely all three of them). A few of the better randoms who have been interested in squad play have ended up being good PSN friends (Eggo1334, Shokou17, dogowar718, etc.).
I've found that the people who are silent when it comes to my plea for squad play tend to be playing recon from the comfort of deployment or charging everywhere like Rambo while playing assault. When I get frustrated with them, particularly when we're losing and they're all just camping, I select the tracer dart gun as my sidearm and light up those camping recon boys like Christmas trees so the other team's camping recons and running Rambos can take 'em down. The part that gets me? The guys who are completely silent during the whole round, despite my plea for squad play and, hoping at least someone can hear me, my warnings of enemy locations and calls for joining me as a squad to capture flags? Those are the guys who I light up like a Christmas tree, get shot, and then pop on the mic and yell at me, "What are you doing?! Why are you doing that?! I'm trying to play!" Ugh.
I experienced it first-hand last night and I hadn't laughed that hard in a while. With the added "dancing" around the flag pole, it was absolutely hilarious. We need to do it again and figure out a way to get it on YouTube.
That's exactly the kit I carry and for the exact same reasons. In fact, I'm pretty sure that kit configuration has played a big role in the good ol' Carl Gustav becoming my number one weapon.

We had a lot of Engies camp out on the Russian construction site shooting rpgs into the garage. We'd send out a scout to take em out and then resume the dance party.
