Yeah, do this. I just checked and it's still there. It's listed as "Burnout Paradise Full Game Plus Bundle"

If there's a way to NOT download the "unlock all cars" key, I'd recommend that.

It's really fun capturing the cars as you unlock them...one of my favorite parts of the game.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Since the Battlefield thread suddenly turned into a Burnout thread, I figured I'd revive this and see if there were any other "older" games people were interested in revisiting...

Anyone up for Red Dead Redemption over the holidays? Apparently it's double and triple XP until Jan 2. I think it might be fun if we got a big group? I only tried the multiplayer once so I'm not very experienced in how it works, but it seemed pretty cool from what I saw.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I've always wanted to do a multiplayer ADD night where every hour the game would change. first hour would be one game next hour would be something else, etc.... I always thought it would be neat with budget titles or older games you still own.

and to answer your question 19 yes I'd be down. I still have Red Dead and I think I still have Undead Nightmare on my Old Phatty - which is mainly used as a netflix settop.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I'd like to go back and finish up some undead nightmare stuff. Once I completed the platinum I really didn't go back to RDR much. Tho it was def my most played game last year. Multiplayer is fun but nearly impossible to keep a large party on task. Slider was always excellent at derailing a great plan.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Cool. I'm down for ADD night also. Since it's the holidays it might be impossible to organize a specific night for anything anyway, but if I'm ever online feel free to join or send a message if there's something else you feel like playing. That goes for anybody. I'm almost always playing with randoms whenever I play any type of multiplayer.

"Slider, don't snipe me from across the canyon."
"Stop trampling me with your mule, Slider."
"Stop shooting at me with the canon, Slider."
"STOP LIGHTING MY HORSE ON FIRE, SLIDER!"

Yeah, that game turned you guys into a bunch of crybabies. Sad that I traded it in.

In RDR getting a big enough group was a key because then you roll over whoever was in the server and boot them out.

@ slider - dont forget the Dynamite (and tomahawks)

Sounds like you all had some good times with it... sucks I missed it. The multiplayer trophies are the only ones I'm missing for the platinum. I'm definitely gonna have to start playing it again.

I don't have undead, but I'd be up for running around with you guys in whatever open world game. RDR and Burnout both sound good, but the one I'd really like to roll 4 players on...Borderlands.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Burnout is a must once we hear from dogmatica.

I'd roll on Borderlands if we have someone who has a goal I am at a point in the game where there are so many different missions going on that I am @ a loss and I can't remember where I was. The nice thing is you only need 2-4 people and ideally we all join the lowest experienced persons game so that they can benefit the most.

@19 - I have no problem trying to get people on for a trophy boost run in multiplayer RDR. - We've done it before and we can do it again.

Multiplayer games I still have - Red Dead, Burnout, BioShock 2, Red Faction: Guerilla (that was alot of fun), Borderlands, Metal Gear Solid 4, Medal of Honor, LBP, BFBC2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (and Revelations but It is just gathering dust), Street Fighter IV (I suck at it - I was always a Tekken fanboy), all the CoD's, Crysis 2 (after the 25th), GTAIV, BF 1943, Wipeout (how have we never done a night with this? especially since it should have been free for lots of us), Resistance 2, Transformers: War for Cybertron

I have, though never played Red Dead (and Undead Nightmare), Burnout, MoH, LBP, BFBC2, SF IV and SSF IV, CoDs (except WaW), BF 1943, Wipeout, and Resistance 2.

interesting how WaW gets ignored. I had it for 2 weeks when it came out and traded it back in and went right back to CoD4 multiplayer.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

The ONLY CoD I have is WaW (girlfriend wanted it for some reason, I've never played it)

I'm game for anything. I still have Burnout, Borderlands, RDR, GTA4, Battlefields (BC1, BC2, 1943, 3), Killzone 2, LBP, Wipeout, all the Rock Bands... plus a crapload of PSN titles, not sure which ones have good multiplayer though (Lead & Gold was decent from what I remember).

Edited to add Uncharted 2 & 3. Didn't realize anyone played the multiplayer on those, I only did them for the platinums

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I have the same stuff I've always had.

The stuff we had the most fun with on here (other than Warhawk/Battlefield/CoD) was:
  • Burnout Paradise
  • RDR
  • Resistance 2 (8 player coop was unique and a blast IMO)
  • Red Faction
  • Uncharted 2
  • Borderlands (mostly Chew and me but a few other dropped in)

Dropping in the lowest ranked player's game in Borderlands would be a bad idea...hard to explain...has to to with how new areas are level capped and having to hold back to let the little guy get XP. Best thing would be to have a dedicated night and 4 committed players and to start from the beginning.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I want to play some horde mode in UC3 soon. I bought it primarily for horde mode, so I haven't touched much of the game yet.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I never actually joined for UC2 during the original rotation, but I've actually been playing it recently, and it makes me sorry that I never did. I've been having a ton of fun with it. I'd be up for some of that (or even Uncharted 3, which I have, but haven't opened yet).

I still have pretty much everything from the original rotation (except RDR... I sold that off after I finished 100% of the trophies... but I have all the DLC, so I might be persuaded to pick up a used copy on the cheap if people were interested in playing it.)

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I loved playing RDR online. I played it last Christmas when they did double XP for 3 weeks and got all my trophies out of the way. Kingpin is tough to get unless you're playing in a big group.

I've tried playing it a few times since and for some reason my PS3 doesn't seem to like it anymore. My PS3 crashes every time I get into a game. I don't know if I have a corrupt save or I'm just unlucky. It only happens in RDR.

I'd love to get into Uncharted 2, as I need all the online DLC trophies for that game. I played it a bit online and I wasn't too enthused.

Just added Brink and I must say that I've definitely enjoyed my first 30 - 60 minutes. Definitely worth $5.

Calling Sony on Monday morning about it (that's all their helpdesk email said to do in response to my download issue: call us).

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

if we are really going to play some RDR, Id buy it again if i can find it cheap...the suicide/team kill by dynamite was classic...Slider and I would always end up holding everyone up because it was hard to keep up with a team while he distracted me.

I really liked that game, but it seemed like everyone bailed
