If you can't be bothered to watch a 15-minute review of a 120+ hour game trilogy, then just fucking play it yourself.

to:

Weapon attachments, loved my level 5 MATTOCK Assault
Collector Armor
Super Melee
Squad Revives

This game [along with the first 2] is pure awesomeness. Everything about it; the Characters, Story, Dialogue , Conversations, Themes, Emotions, etc... made this trilogy playthrough a joy.

Resident Evil franchise is my favorite of all time[been there from the beginning]. Recent franchises like Gears Of War, Dead Space and Bioshock are my newer ones [also there from the beginning]. I don't know if it would be right to put Mass effect in my favorites [I just played all 3 for the first time] but I can say without a doubt that it's probably the best video games I've ever played. Amazing job BIOWARE!

BioWare is planning all-new downloadable content for Mass Effect 3 in the form of the Leviathan expansion.

That’s according to voice actor Anthony Skordi, who revealed to the chaps at Eurogamer that he would be voicing a Reaper named Leviathan for the as-yet unannounced DLC.

According to reports, the expansion will take place before ME3’s controversial ending, and focuses on the traitorous Reaper by the name of Leviathan. Apparently, Skordi’s character has been separated from his race for the past decade for killing a fellow Reaper.

Commander Shepard crosses paths with Leviathan after being dispatched to rescue a scientist named Ann Brynson, who is being held captive at a Reaper-indoctrinated mining facility.

More interestingly, Leviathan is able to join Shepard’s forces – presumably as a War Asset - to aid the Commander in his battle against the other Reapers.

BioWare is poised to unveil new DLC during the company’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday, so expect more info around that time.

Stay tuned.

FINALLY....DLC that isn't MP related.....
It would be awesome if that DLC includes new footage for the finale. Could you imagine watching a Reaper aiding Sword during the space battle while Hammer deals with the ground troops?

Is it just me, or would DLCs of new story missions, taking place before the finale, be of less interest now, after we've seen how it all shakes out, than they were for, say, ME2? I mean, the side story stuff is of far less consequence now, and as far as more gameplay, you can just replay other levels or multiplayer or that. It'll be nice, just not as big a deal as before.

Well, given it's no secret there will be an ME4, this new DLC will likely play out like Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival. Neither had any real impact on ME2 but set the stage for ME3. Given the character of Leviathan is to become a war asset, he likely has a part to play in ME4. I expect the same for any single player DLC from here on out.

Also recall that there are still dangling threads. Dark Energy, wich was intended to tie into the ending of ME3 was dropped altogether. They could easily bring that back up in future DLC and then use that as a jumping off point for future ME games. They ended Shepard's story not that of the ME universe.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Since Leviathan can become a War Asset, I assume it survives. Unless it becomes another Derelict Reaper and its parts are used to further enhance the Crucible. However, if it does survive (or there's some moment of respite during the DLC mission), you figure Shepard would ask it about the origin of the Reapers and the nature of the Catalyst (what is it? Where can it be found? Etc). If so, wouldn't that mean they'd have to change Citadel: The Return for a second time?

Another thought about Leviathan: I'm guessing the fellow Reaper it killed is the Derelict Reaper from ME2.

tomorrow for Leviathan...2-3 hours long...4 new achievements/trophies...anyone else going to jump on this? DLC missions from Mass 2 were mixed for me, with Lair of the Shadow Broker being amazing and Arrival being a turd...I hope this is more Shadow Broker...

A few quotes from the BioWare folks suggest they're going for Shadow Broker-caliber dialogue, story depth, and length. Whether that'll pan out or not remains to be seen, but I'm on-board to find out.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I bought all the ME2 DLC on day one. This time I'll be waiting until all the content has been released and is on sale.

It seems like anything that could happen storywise at this point will be anti-climactic at best.

Re: Mass Effect 3

thumbs down from me....it was ok at best. The voice acting was just off...the story was just ok. I think there was only 3 battle situations, and they all felt dead. The levels were sort of like the co-op maps, and just felt lifeless. Might be my least favorite dlc of all the mass effect games..

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah, I was surprised by your dissenting opinion. But didn't Arrival also have glowing reviews despite being a steaming pile of shit?

Now I don't know if I'l get it at all. Does the plot in any way affect the overall game?
