I can't figure out why people are up in arms about the final hours app. Apparently it's just a bunch of behind the scenes stuff.

Because the destruction of Bioware is the only thing that is going to satisfy most of these idiots at this point. Bioware is now the devil.

Bioware promises one thing, and gives you something entirely different than what was promised, AFTER you had handed the money for that product. They deserve everything they get.

Re: Mass Effect 3
MoviePage...I noticed you are doing your second run on insanity with a sentinel. How far are you with that, and how do you feel so far with your build? I think I have 6 missions left (2 N7 and 4 main) and I am done, and at this moment I would say the game is even easier than 2 on insanity, though I hear the last few missions are a bitch....(Infiltrator)
Only thing I have left now is 5,000 kills, which I still haven't gotten after 2 and a half playthroughs, lots of do-over sections on Insanity, and more than my fill of the snoozefest multiplayer. I am around 4,300 though.I wouldn't classify it as easy by any means, especially the last third of the game, but I'm sure there are some who would disagree.
Sentinel worked pretty well. I mainly wanted to try something different since I hadn't used that build before. Also because Overload is damn near essential with all the shielded and synthetic enemies in the game, and I wanted some biotic powers to go with it. The only drawback was that sentinel has no default ammo powers, so you're almost required to use your bonus power choice for that.
I'll add that a 100% renegade playthrough is a lot of fun and a very different experience from a 100% paragon version of the story, especially if you import a character from the previous games who was also a total bitch.

The hatred and vitriol directed at that female writer a couple weeks back? Death threats. Demands for a new free ending?
Aside for the last 5 minutes of the game, Mass Effect 3 is everything it was "promised" to be. Not liking the ending doesn't enable you to be an asshole towards other human beings.

No, basically 99% of what they gave you is what they promised. The ending might leave a bad taste in your mouth since that's the last thing you experience, but they mostly gave you what they promised, which is more than I can say for a lot of other developers who don't even get a fraction of this much vitriol.

they didn't give us what we were promised.

Those are intangible assets stored online and associated with a game. When was the last time a game came out without a day-one patch? Those fix post-gold bugs (I know, paradox) and add hooks for dlc content.
Day-one dlc w/ post-gold patch =/= on disc.

Achievements on the disc? What?

Re: Mass Effect 3
Also, going through achievements, it looks like there are achievements on the disc for the From Ashes DLC. The various ways that Bioware/EA have designed things so that you have to play multiplayer, download DLC, buy an iPad game, blah blah blah have left a really bad taste in my mouth. Several elements of this game feels like a cash grab. Between this and DA2 where it sent you to the marketplace to download new characters who are introduced but not on disc I may be done with Bioware completely.
I have mixed feelings about the ending to the game, and while I don't think they "owe" us anything more than what they gave us, I have very little doubt that this is exactly what's going to happen. I'd be surprised if it's not out before summer, honestly.

RIGHT AT THE END OF THE FUCKING GAME...
no big deal since I have other xbox's in the house, just moved my hard drive but shit....
