I think I'm about halfway through the story now, and the only thing that has cancelled out sidequests is progression of the main story. So it's basically just a case of doing all possible sidequests before main quests. Specifically, do anything you can that's in your log before you do the priority mission on (this is not really a spoiler but in the interest of avoiding hysterics)
Spoiler:
Tuchanka.

Yeah, I've run into a lot of situations like that, where I've thought "How the hell does this play out if I didn't play ME1 or ME2 the way I did?"

I don't think anyone has figured out what the effect is yet, exactly. Just supposed to make it easier to get a more positive ending. Who knows.

Multiplayer is horde mode. You go pew-pew a lot and take cover sometimes.

I banged her last game!

I want to bed this new assistant. Her accent is sexy, and she plays dirty chess.

If it's like the demo, it's all co-op versus AI enemies, so just standing there would not have your desired effect.

If you like the combat, the multiplayer is actually pretty enjoyable. Still, I find it hard to pull myself away from the story long enough to do much of the MP.

I don't know about that particular part but I know if Mordin dies in the Collector base in ME2 his part in ME3 is just some random Salarian doctor.

It's driving me crazy how much all I want to do is play this game. Was up until 3am last night after saying "I'll just do a side quest real quick"

Said person died at the end of ME2 in my game.

Spoiler:
So the woman at the Academy was a woman I didn't recognize. I have a PS3 though so I never played ME1. The woman apparently has a history with Anderson (the guy you run around with Earth at the very beginning who stays behind). When I completed the Academy mission there was a little conversation with Shepard telling Anderson the woman was asking about him.

Spoiler:
You can, if you're playing as a female.

Also, Jessica Chobot: worst voice performance in the history of videogames? It's definitely up there.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I did. I'm mainly just hoping I can sacrifice her somewhere along the way, because that would almost make it worthwhile. But then, I feel the same way about Ashley (my greatest disappointment in this game so far was importing my save file and realizing that it came from the one and only ME1 playthrough where I didn't blow her up).

I let her on, and as I am playing female, looks like I'll be bedding that assistant.

Was no one else available if they wanted to do a little bit of stunt casting?

And are Adam Baldwin and Carrie-Anne Moss back?

Re: Mass Effect 3

I've been playing some multiplayer last night and will tonight to boost my galactic readiness. Anyone at 100%?

Re: Mass Effect 3

I'm in the mid-80s.

Oh, and I was wrong earlier when I said that your stat decreases 1% each day you don't play multiplayer. It decreases 1% every day, regardless. It's an obvious attempt to keep people playing that isn't going to work anyway and just detracts from the overall experience.

This game is such a mixture of epic, mind-blowing greatness in storytelling and facepalm-worthy design decisions and bugs.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I almost banged 2 dudes. Only chance to bang one chick so far. I guess I'm putting off a gay vibe.

I feel bad about one of my decisions regarding Tali. Pretty far along in the game so read at your own risk.

Spoiler:
I helped the Geth, killed her race and she committed suicide. Woops!

Whoever the EA exec was who said "make everyone's tits at least 200% bigger, including the 60 year old doctor and the HOLOGRAPHIC INTERFACE AT THE CITADEL" needs to be kicked in the dick.
