Re: Mass Effect 3

Sidequests (N7 missions plus whatever else qualifies) are on disc 2. Main story missions are on disc 1. It's a bizarre design decision. I'm a little over 10 hours in and I've switched discs at least 8 times now. And I have both of them installed to the hard drive.

Re: Mass Effect 3

WTF!? PS3 owners, looking for info:

I'm about 4 hours into the game. I am currently running all over the Citadel doing several small missions. 4 of the 5 times I have tried to go to the "docks" level (i think its level 3) of the Citadel, my PS3 completely freezes and I need to reboot it.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I seriously just sat and listened to the entire Blasto 6 movie. That's a Lethal Weapon I want to see, you spawns of questionable parentage!

We all know it exists. That doesn't mean that we are allowing discussion of it on a public forum.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Only planned on playing a few hours tonight and apparently a few means 5.

My only gripe is the squad mate selection is rather lame so far. If you end up at a place with a lot of enemies in armor the
Spoiler:
Prothean
from the DLC sucks since most of his abilities are useless against armor.

Re: Mass Effect 3

So just a FYI...the non priority side missions EXPIRE. Found that out while playing for a bit tonight. After a certain point in the main story line there are a bunch of the side missions including some ones on the Citadel, N7 missions and going to the Grissom Academy that are grayed out and can't be competed anymore. So do the side missions before moving onto the priority missions.

Good to know! A lot of the side missions tell me to "hurry, there isnt much time". Each time i go back to the galaxy map i see the reapers have taken several more systems... kinda neat to watch them slowly take over a s time goes by.

That sucks because on the Grissom Academy you meet an old friend.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Great, I have a million quests now because my "Commander Stalker" has just be wandering around the Citadel eavesdropping on people.

I have quite a few also but most of them aren't specific side missions. It's more of a "hey, if you come across this while playing the game, deliver it to this dude" with no real plot advancement although I do think some of them give you "war assets".

Re: Mass Effect 3

That's fine and all, but how am I supposed to know which are time sensitive? Like that thing where I need to deliver "artifacts" to that black market dealer so I don't have to kill that Turian general. He sure seemed to indicate that I didn't have forever.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I know it's silly, but not being able to play with my Shep's face is really troublesome. I tried to recreated it, but I know it isn't just right. I might need to hold off and borrow a copy of Mass Effect 2 to see what my Shep's character code is.

I couldn't stand it either. I played for about an hour with the new default face and it felt wrong. I started over and did a pretty good job of recreating my real Shep.

You basically have to make the right decision nearly every time, and the Paragon response isn't always the right decision for your War Effort stats. Neither is "Sure, old friend, join me on the Normandy," by the way.

Doesn't help that the multiplayer is basically awful, either.
Wait, WTF. Why does stupid multiplayer have any effect on the endings you get?

What do you have to do in multiplayer?

EA forcing multiplayer down our throats to justify Origin, I bet.

Right - but what if said person died at the end of ME2?

Re: Mass Effect 3

I just wanna get with Miranda before the end of the galaxy. I met up with her at the Docks and told her she's still in my plans for the future.

Hope I see her again.

12 hours through and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface.
