Killzone 3 (February 2011)

I know this is a long way off but found some multiplayer footage and thought this looked cool.

Re: Killzone 3 (Fall 2011)

FYI, this is coming out in February 2011.

Looks sick. 3D, Jetpacks, should be a hell of a game. Hopefully the story doesn't suck.

Re: Killzone 3 (Fall 2011)

I know Killzone 2 wasn't particularly loved by all. A lot of people complained about "sluggish" controls. I loved it though, and will definitely be down for this one. Looks great!

Sweet. They cast Malcom McDowell as Brian Cox' replacement.

Re: Killzone 3 (February 2011)

I never played any of the previous Killzone games but I might actually pick this one up just for the Move support. I like the idea of playing a first person shooter with the move, I fell like I might be able to aim faster.

Re: Killzone 3 (February 2011)

I like to play my games in total darkness so the Move is out of the question for me. And if Killzone 3 is anything loike Killzone 2, there'll be large parts of the game that are so dark that lights in the room will make it nigh unplayable.

Re: Killzone 3 (February 2011)

Since Brian Cox’s performance as Scolar Visari is a tough act to follow, Guerrilla signed on two veteran actors for the roles of his successors in the English version of Killzone 3: Malcolm McDowell, who plays the scheming Stahl Arms CEO, and Ray Winstone, who plays the gruff Helghast Admiral. With over seventy years of acting experience between them, McDowell and Winstone lend an intriguing dynamic to the power struggle that rages in parallel to the war on Helghan.

HELL YEAH!

Spoiler:

Whoa.

Same here.

I received the Move bundle (wand, camera, game) for Christmas and have used it for roughly 20 minutes in total.

I knew the other voice sounded familiar but the name kept escaping for some irritating reason. That's certainly excellent casting. I was afraid there'd be a huge acting void without Brian Cox but they sure as hell filled it.

Of course not. The game is Move enabled and will automatically work with the gun upon its release (as will SOCOM and MAG).

I'm talking about the gun in the video above, do I have to purchase that separately and when will it be released?

http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Mo...lp_edpp_ttl_in
Spoiler:

It's $40 and really well made. It comes out the same day as the game (and designed for it -- it has Killzone graphics on the side but not shown in that picture). I played it (in 3D) at CES. Wasn't wild about the 3D, but that gun is AWESOME. Solid feedback, Great trigger mechanism. Pump-action grenade launcher. Reload by tilting the gun sideways, thrust gun forward to melee. Really intuitive integration of the Nav into the front handle as well, making movement really easy. I absolutely loved it. Anyone who have a Move controller and likes shooters needs this gun..

The only thing with that gun is that regardless of how it feels, I would feel like a douche holding it.

Just because you feel like a douche doesn't mean you look like one. Take a picture/video of you using it, post it and let us be the judge of just how douchey you look.

Controls weren't the problem, just the core game was a bit meh. I'll probably play through 3 though just to satisfy the completionist in me.

At least you will have that fresh and clean feeling while playing.
