Yeah... after watching that Pro-G video on a relatively easy song, I'm going to keep playing drums.

I want to recruit up to three of you for a quick run at 1,000,000 and 60s overdrive.

Some dude's first attempt at playing the Pro mode - sure he fails out, but tries again and does make it through some of the song. Pretty neat.

I'm down with the chord symbols like Em and Am/G but how are people supposed to know which fingering/voicing to use? I sort of expected it to be like tablature flying towards you, with fret numbers indicated for each string. Oh wait I see that does happen for single note runs.

Interesting, this is the first time I've checked out the Pro notation for guitar.

I'd imagine this dude went through at least the basics of the training section first of all.

Telephones, people! I always always prefer to get my shit done in person or on the phone because they can't put you off if you're in their face, and therefore shit gets done.

I know this is going to sound really fucking crazy, but I actually called Best Buy to see if they had it in stock. And guess what, the second one I called had it and I went and picked it up.

I thought those were just telling you which strings to strum but yeah of course I have not gone through the training section.

Interestingly, looking through the song list online at RB.com, Any Way You Want It still shows up, but Rock and Roll Star is gone completely.

Yeah the problem with calling Best Buy is that you are at least as likely to get incorrect information and end up wasting your time, as you are to get accurate info. Especially with something like this where there are so many different guitar peripherals/variations. Though I'm glad to hear it worked out for you!

Didn't see this mentioned earlier, but it looks like the PS3 Export page is now live on rockband.com, instead of just being a redirect back to the main page.

And everyone that tried to enter the Lego code they got last night has been sent replacements. Yay! Just got mine.

This actually reminds me of how lame some of the stuff is like that. It's ok the first time, but then it's the same thing after every road challenge ends. And the cutscenes of them leaving the club are always the same. They couldn't add a little more variety?
So far this game is really seeming like a mixed bag to me. I like some of the new challenges but over all it feels less polished than 2, which doesn't make sense to me considering they only had a year to put out 2 after 1, yet they had two years for this.
But then again, if the website availability at launch is any indicator of Harmonix' level of preparation...
