Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Don't forget all of the songs that went into Playtest or Peer Review like 8+ months ago and still have yet to be seen in the RBN store.

They should setup some sort of reimbursement system, where you still pay the upfront costs, but then after X amount of playtests you get that money reimbursed to you. The problem stems from them latching on to the Microsoft Creators Club, that probably makes some sort of reward system much harder to implement. Although it shouldn't be impossible.

It's not even up yet. Usually RGS puts those preview vids up and then the actual track shows up on the site a week or two later. This is what happened with the Heaven Shall Burn tracks. They also might be holding off hoping to get some of their lower-tier/more unknown artists pushed through with a couple playtests before releasing some more "big name" artists.

HOLY SHIT!! YES!!

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/41231/Bon-...or-Rock-Band-3

Bon Jovi has signed a deal to promote MTV’s Rock Band 3 post-release.
The band’s entire Greatest Hits collection, which hits shelves on November 9th, will be available as DLC for Rock Band. And the publisher has partnered with the group for promotional activity.

That's gonna be an expensive album! Especially if they put any pro guitar in there.

I'm guessing they update the current Bon Jovi songs for Keyboards with the release as well.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

It looks like there's a 16 song version of the greatest hits album and the "ultimate" version with 28. I'd assume it's the former, but I guess we'll see. Good news for Bon Jovi fans anyway. I've liked a lot of the full album choices, but it would also be good if there were more greatest hits album releases - I'm sure those would sell better for a lot of bands.

Also, the last two songs on each disc are new songs (according to amazon.com).

It specifically says we are getting the entire "Ultimate" release that comes out in November.

Oh, I must have missed that. The only thing I've seen regarding this announcement was the link above and I didn't see the word "Ultimate" anywhere.

Actually, you didn't, I was wrong. I was just reading into the fact that they said "entire" Greatest Hits Collection. So who knows. I'm guessing it is only the first disc, since 28 (or 26) songs would be pretty ridiculous to release for one artist on a single day.

Wow! My wife (a big-time Jovi fan) will be very excited to hear this news. That's a lot of Bon Jovi, even for her.

Bring on RB3, please.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

I can't say I'm really familiar with that many Bon Jovi songs, but I sure hope it is the whole thing, if only for setting the precedent of massive release days. I'd certainly be up for days like that for any of my favorite artists.

You've probably heard a lot more than you think. I'd say all of these will be familiar to most people:

1. "Livin' on a Prayer"
2. "You Give Love a Bad Name"
3. "It's My Life"
5. "Wanted Dead or Alive"
6. "Bad Medicine"
8. "I'll Be There for You"
10. "Blaze of Glory"
12. "Lay Your Hands on Me"
13. "Always"
14. "Runaway"
1. "In These Arms"
2. "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night"
4. "Keep the Faith"
6. "Bed of Roses"

I wouldn't say I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan(even though I've said I'd take a 3-6 pack way back when), but all of the above are pretty fun songs and probably will be in RB as well. I'd be down for the "Ultimate" version DLC.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Oh I'll definitely be getting a few of these. The two songs in the game already are a lot of fun to sing (and within my range). Looking at the tracklist, I feel stupid. I didn't even know that You Give Love a Bad Name was theirs. I'd have to listen to the rest, but going by song titles I know I've heard five or six off that list.

I'm not really a Bon Jovi fan, but the keyboard part on "Runaway" is gonna be fun.

Excited about the Bon Jovi news!
But disappointed that it won't include "Never Say Goodbye".....

FYI, that song was in Lego Rock Band, so it probably won't be a part of this pack.

Just like "Fire" not being part of the Are You Experienced album next week.

Leads me to wonder what'll happen when Lego RB isn't available anymore. Will they ever make the Lego songs available as standalone DLC?

Oops. I even have Lego Rock Band and I've exported it. I must be an retard. Apparently I shouldn't be commenting on Bon Jovi at all.

As somebody who has a sang at least a dozen different bon jovi songs at karaoke, all I can is halleulajah and pass the hair spray. Very nice indeed.
