Ok, so I'm trying to play again and the game says I'm no longer connected to Facebook (this happened the other day but was fine this afternoon). I come back here and there's no issue with the FB app. I send myself an email from the xbox, click the link, and, as expected, see that I'm already linked.

Is this a common problem? I wouldn't mind except that if the game isn't updating my RBW stats, I'm not getting those bonuses for challenges which defeats the purpose of them entirely and sort of throws off my plan of attack for this session.

Any advice? I'm going to try exiting to dash and back in. That should only take 4 minutes

Edit: Went back to the splash screen before the main menu. It went through the discovery phase and connection again and it worked. Just FYI to those of you out there. Check your shizz first!

BTW, their facebook app is fucked up for inviting friends to challenges. If you send an invite and they accept, it won't add them to yours and they'll just create their own.

Exactly. I bought three Queen singles today so I'd have enough songs of theirs to do the Queen challenge with. But those have been on my short list for a while now. And I bought Pac-Man Fever the other day, just for the hell of it. First DLC I've bought in a long time. First time I've had a bunch of points in a long time too, though.

I'd really like to know how the Johnny Cash DLC sales are doing right now, thanks to achievement whores like me who have to buy it to get that "play one song from every decade since the 50s" achievement. That is some insidious shit right there, Harmonix.

So wait - there are more challenges and shit that pop up ONLY if you connect to Facebook? That explains why my recommended section is full of "get more stars!" or "Play it again!" rather than encourage me to play different stuff. Lame. I should go out to the bar tonight and punch HMXHenry just for fun.

Here's a positive from me: I do like how the challenges give you credit for 6 stars when you hit gold. Getting gold on Number of the Beast netted me 11 total with Wicker Man for Medium Iron Maiden.

Got 2 of the 3 "Hard Goal is Hard" songs done in a sitting. Just gotta figure out what I'm doing wrong on Cult of Personality to not break 325k...

New community goal. Get 750,000 stars on 80s songs.

Also, there is a new Grohl challenge to play every song in Rock Band that he has played on. It nets you 15,000 coins.

I've only been able to gold star one song and get 5 on a handful. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, other than not staying in Blitz mode for most of the song. I usually lose Blitz mode when I switch tracks as it, I guess, makes me miss notes and then I have to build up the Blitz meter again. I'm probably not picking the right combination of powerups as well. I used to run Band Mate + Bomb + one of the instrument powerups. But lately I've swapped out Band Mate for 2x so that I can go into 2x mode at the end of the song to double the end of song bonuses for each track's level.

I found a healthy combo with the tire and bomb. And as annoying as the pinball power up is, it nets you a lot of points. I just hate neglecting tracks to hit the damn pinball. That's not why I'm playing the game....

Gonna try to finish this one up today. Finished all the other goals they put up already, and am 12 songs into this one.

I played the demo last night and felt Blitz was a chore and not fun to play at all. The only thing that interests me are the songs that come with it that you can use for RB3. Can you just buy those songs separately or do they only come in this game?

He doesn't actually play on Polly by Nirvana but I don't know if that's officially recognized by Harmonix.

I have all the Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Tenacious D tracks, it's tempting to buy the others.

Road Rage + Blast Notes + Super Guitar

After getting past the last checkpoint, just stick it out on guitar only. Don't worry about leveling anything else. This goes for pretty much every song.

They are packaged with the game. At this time, they are not available separately. However, the export to RB3 is free. So think about it like this, $15 for 25 songs, seems like a good deal in my book. I have no intention of playing Blitz either, but the pack will get a ton of use for me in RB3, so it worked out well.

Realized I only have 25.5 Grohl songs since I can't play TCV is RBB. Minor issue, but it would be nice to be able to export those 83 tracks even if there's isn't a RB4 on the horizon.

I've never bought one, but "One Step Closer" is in my library. I can't remember which game it came from--RB2, maybe?

Will the "doubling up" even work for the Grohl one? I thought it only worked for the "get X stars", as the goal says "play 55 distinct songs". This (and the BSSM one) is the first to have that phrasing, I think.

To be safe, I'm playing all 55 unique songs.

I was just going off what Vryce said others said, but they may have been talking about non-unique challenges. I'll replay something in RBB later and find out if it doubles up, but won't be upset if it doesn't.
