A couple of new things today. Looks like there will be some Avatar Rewards in the game (a male and female t-shirt for each instrument).

Also, there have been some questions about how solo scores would be recorded in band-play due to things like unison bonuses. It seems that now solo play has "double OD" sections that would be a unison in full band. These sections will give a half bar of OD instead of a quarter.

That's cool, hopefully it'll be easy to tell what's a normal OD phrase and what's a double OD phrase. Because if I have 3/4 of a bar, I'll probably want to kick in before I complete a double.

Still doesn't bridge the gap between 2x and 10x max multipliers, but it's nice.

Edit: I suppose the game could easily track your solo score in a band session based on whether or not you have OD active, regardless of the other players. Any OD points you score based off the band multiplier that isn't added to your score. So if there's an 10x thing going on, your notes * 2 is going to your score while the other * 8 is going to a communal "band bucket".

So you get:

Vocals solo + guitar solo + base solo + drum solo + keys solo + band bucket = band score.

These sections have glowing borders.

Also if you noticed from the screenshot last week, the total individual scores were a lot lower than the band score. I guess HMX calculates your score individually in the background and only doubles your score when you use overdrive, and not the band.

yah, it shouldn't be hard to give an individual score based solely on your overdrive... but then again it shouldn't have been that hard to keep track of difficulty played for score/star tracking in RB2

Eh, I sort of expected that the DLC would slow down leading up to RB3. I think we'll get a bunch of good stuff after the RB3 launch, since they probably have been focusing on DLC with the new features for quite a while now.
