This isn't the same thing though. For that to be the case none of your DLC from RB1/2 would work in RB3. That's a much different situation than requiring RB3 for all stuff going forward, but still allowing all your old iteration DLC to work.

I don't understand this line from that article
"To make it worse, the new ‘Rock Band’ DLC isn’t compatible with the old games" Wouldn't that be like saying GH:WT DLC wasn't compatible with GH1? Or the DLC for Call of Duty: WaW doesn't work with the very first CoD game? Why should they? |

The better comparison is RB2 DLC working in RB1.
I always liked how Rock Band DLC could work with both games and how some songs would also work in Lego Rock Band. It always felt like their DLC was all encompassing. |

That's why I said vice versa.
I'm saying the GH comparison doesn't work as it's not the same situation with RB. With GH none of your GH3 DLC would carry forward. That's not the case with RB. |

Regardless, the point was that GH got slammed for NOT doing what Rock Band 1/2 did which was pretty much compatibility across the board, so the fact that there is some incompatibility with RB3 makes it pretty clear why some people would complain. |

I doubt anyone here needs it but they appear to have more codes now for the Lego RB transfer. Just did mine a little while ago.

Is there a problem with RockBand.com? I haven't been able to access the site all morning.

Well, speculation is that Apple will announce The Beatles coming to iTunes. Harmonix may have made that happen...

Yeah but the only reason that works is because there are technically two of every song in the download, one for each game.

Is that right? I was wondering why it was such a huge download--like 2 GB or something for eleven tracks. (I just redeemed a code for the 21-song RB Country pack and that was 613 MB.)

Where are you getting these numbers from, and why don't they show actual # of downloads? That's what I want to see!
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
They're being pulled from Xbox.com. That's why there are no numbers attached, lol.
