AC/DC track pack for the PS2 has been at every store

My same experience. I was looking for the Country one but only found Vol 2 & Metal for 360.

I don't see why they can't bundle the Keys and Harmonies with the Pro Guitar/Bass upgrade. That's pretty disappointing. I don't care about Bon Jovi but I do care about a lot of other already released DLC, such as Iron Maiden (which won't have keys anyway unless they chart guitar synth as keys, but it will have harmonies).

You can't see why because there's no reason why ;)

Very disappointing about the price to get legacy DLC keys support. I assumed it'd be maybe a $1/song fee (and included with pro guitar/bass). At that price I'd upgrade a fair amount of my DLC. But at $2/song, there's less I'd be willing to upgrade.

Oh yeah, you all have probably discussed this already, but Family Dollar has Track Packs for sale for $5 each. They had some for every system. I picked up the Track Pack Volume 2 though I already have five of the twenty songs as DLC. They also had the Metal pack for 360 and country tracks for PS3. Probably worth checking out. Not nearly as disgusting a dollar store as most of them here in town.

Thanks for the heads-up! I went to 3 Family Dollars today and got Track Pack 2 and the Metal Pack (2 songs overlap for me on the former, but none on the latter). I really wanted AC/DC and the Country Pack, but I'm not complaining about what I got at that price.

In fairness, I think online compatibility was completely back-burner in design. They're focused on 7-player-living-room-and/or-bar-rock-band-night mode. Which is fine, but there is a huge online component to the pick-up-and-play.

and the best they could come up with was AIM, which gimps vocals.

I forgot YGLaBN was in Lego Rock Band. Scratch that. I also listened to them all yesterday and I'm skipping IBTFY as well, it sounds pretty dull on guitar.

That snare looks sweet but I almost choked when I saw the price ($200 new!!!). Does it plug right in to the IONs, or does it have to be modifed somehow?

Yeah, it's pretty damn expensive, new or used. I was okay with the used price since it was almost new in condition anyway. It just plugs in with the existing cable, and the Ion mount works with it.

So has anyone gotten a battle to work?

I created one on the website, which I can see online, but I don't see it in game anywhere. I have two expired ones created by Harmonix and one created by CarDar, who is on my friends list. However I can't play that one since I don't have 5 of the songs. Actually, I don't have 4 of the songs, but it tells me that Ace of Spades '08 is "Currently Unavailable" even though I own it and can play it.

On the website all I can see is the "Top Ten" battles, all for Wii.

All I want to talk about is the crazy track "upgrade" prices, so I was not saying anything. I don't think I'll be rebuying a single track just for the keyboard parts, and if something like Bob Marley's Legend isn't a free upgrade I'm going to go completely crazy.

Here's a thought.

Playing Pro-drums takes takes so much more effort than regular drums. I played ten songs on Pro-Expert yesterday and had to take a break. I'd go for a few hours on regular without feeling anything more than a cramp in my pedal thigh.

It's also much more necessary to really tailor your kit to your style. My biggest difficulty so far is changing my orientation when going from the blue or green cymbal to a blue or green pad. I register that I need to play cymbal or pad about 50% of the time. Then, out of the the 50% I actually process, I actually strike the cymbal or pad another 50%. So many times I just whiff altogether. Once you get in a groove with the repetition, I find it VERY hard to switch from high to low on the right side of the kit. I also feel like it takes much longer to recover from a flub. My first reaction is always to go back to the pads when I lose my place.

...and btw, the retarded monkey flailings returned for the first time in a long time on Yoshimi. There are some very unusual patterns in that song. Towards the end I must have looked like I was swatting flies. Hesitate. No. Back up. Guess. Swing and miss. Re-center myself back on the pads. Fuck. That's a cymbal. Arrrgghh.

Haha, this entire post pretty much mirrors my experience with pro-drums. The biggest reason for quicker fatigue I think is because of the lack of rebound from hitting the cymbals. It can make you tired much quicker than solely using the pads.

I've gotten past the arm flailing a bit with pro-mode, but sometimes some songs still throw me for a loop. Some of those Pantera songs are crazy because in the middle of a huge fill section, all of a sudden there will just be a couple of cymbal hits, sometimes even on the same color that it was on during the pad fills. It's so awkward I've been meaning to go back and listen to those parts, cause it's almost so random that it seems like it could be a bug, but it probably isn't. I have heard people complaining of some parts on the normal DLC being mapped to the cymbal's incorrectly, so maybe that is what is going on.

And I thought the scoring was weird. I'd either 4- or 5-star a Pro-E song or fail. This really does lead me to believe that miss-hits are causing a faster fail rate. I'm playing well enough to score 4 or 5 stars, but I can't eek through a song to get 3? Hmmm.

I created the Guitar Hero 1 battle on the console, glad to know it shows up somewhere. I haven't seen the battle you created online and I haven't seen the battle I was able to join from the website show up in the game yet.

Yep, across all instruments it now takes less misses to fail. Sometimes I've found it's very noticeable, other times not so much. I think they did this to counterbalance the fact that we get more overdrive now. Of course that is kind of broken, cause it doesn't help on the songs or parts where you can't even hit the OD segments. Like say for instance, during a drum solo, when you can't activate overdrive.

OD generally does very little to save drummers, IMO. We can't select when we're in trouble to activate it. And the times we can activate are generally just some of the repeated patterns -- we'd refill anyway. Plus on Pro-E, I always miss the first note after the fill because I generally have to go from a green cymbal to a red pad or yellow cymbal. And as stated... I'm just not that quick at swapping halves of the kit when cymbals are involved.

Linking worked on PS3 for me, got the "goal" no problem. Is it an achievement too for 360?
