Re: The trilogy complete? Official Gears of War 3 thread

I don't see myself taking off for Gears..I tend to take time off for a game like Fallout 3...or the upcoming Skyrim. Games that take up to 100 hours eat away my week with no problem. Gears on the other hand.....I would guess the single player is going to be 10 hours. I plan on doing that with friends that will not have the week off. I also am not a fan of MP without my friends....

As of right now I plan on taking a week off for Skyrim and Saints Row 3 (one of my friends is taking a week off as well to coop that one)

In the above video they state if you like their Facebook page you get a code for the Griffin character (voiced by Ice-T) which can be DL'd right now.

Here's their tweet about it.

I am pumped for Horde Mode. That's just some freakn' insane play and non-stop mayhem. More visuals, more yelling, more blood, more bullets, more bodies...what more can you ask for.

I DL the "Griffin" character and my first thought was ....

Terrible song, but Horde mode looks fun as hell as expected.

I think the song is cool. Wonder if they made a song called HORDEKILLER or something KILLER.

Video is up on 360 marketplace, seen it back to back bunch of times.

Got GRIFFIN DL'd.

Re: The trilogy complete? Official Gears of War 3 thread

Preordered my console this week.

Now just wait to request vacation days. I will be really mad if they don't have midnight release in my local GameStop.

Re: The trilogy complete? Official Gears of War 3 thread

Rod Fergusson from Epic is doing a stream right now and mentioned that players who have the Veteran Gear achievement from GoW 2 will have all primary weapons skinned in gold for Gears 3 multiplayer.

He goes on to say that if you don't have it, they'll be doing XP weekends starting next weekend up until the release of Gears of War 3.

It'll take some serious play time to get me up to there...mid 70's level now not unless they have Quadtriple XP Weekends and possibly days

Quadruple Way to aim low, buddy!

They're usually in the 20-30x range lately and just before GoW3 launches, I could see them going to 50x or more.

Re: The trilogy complete? Official Gears of War 3 thread

I hope so, I've barely touched the multiplayer so I'm level 2.

I grabbed the All Fronts pack when it was on sale for 400 points a couple of weeks ago, so I guess I'll be putting it to good use the next few weekends.

Re: The trilogy complete? Official Gears of War 3 thread

I may have mentioned it in the GoW2 thread, but when they did an event a few months ago, I went from level 0 to Veteran in a day or two. Boosting methods, sure, but I had no skillz. Then it was in the 20x range.
