I guess there is no way to pre-order the LE in-store at Best Buy? The only version on the touch screen kiosk thing is for the $59.99 regular version. I guess you just have to pre-order that one and switch it to the LE if you are lucky enough to find one when you get there on the 20th?

For the "discounted" weapon skin pack with all of them, it's a measly 3600 points/$45

That's absurd. I might be tempted to actually pay money for weapon skins on day 1 because of the excitement and hype, but at that price all I can do is laugh.

The individual skins will be 240 points for static (non-animated) ones, and 320 for animated ones.

So, who plans on dropping 6000 MS points for day-one content? Anyone? No? Didn't think so.

Maybe ... at least getting the season pass.

How limited is the Gears 3 360 console?

Was thinking of picking one up for collectors sake and selling it in a few years. Are these special consoles truly limited where it would be worth an investment?

it briefly crossed my mind, but i'm watching football tonight and will probably have consumed at least 12 beers, so I will be in no condition to drive.

About to head to Best Buy now. Only reason I am doing the midnight thing is to grab an LE since I'm not even done with Gears 2 yet, so it's not like I am going to be playing it tonight.

The Walmart flyer here show they are selling all 3 editions at $59.99 for a limited time. I wasn't really bothered to get anything but just the standard edition but if that's true and they actually have the LE and the Epic(?) editions then i might just grab one of those

I did. Sat down at 12:30 with a cold beer and played for about an hour. It was like catching up with an old friend. Good times. So far the campaign is great.

GOW has passed me by on the fun scale. I just can't get into the chase for the power weapons and the assault rifles are still too underpowered.

The graphics are amazing and it was smooth online.

Glad I gave it a shot but just not for me anymore.
