The other night, I told my wife that after we were done working our way through all the stuff on our TiVo, we were going to watch Alan Wake. It's just that good.

I'm working my way through the hunting challenges and #8 was a kill a bear with the melee knife. What a pain in the ass, until I figured out you could slice while riding around on your horse.

Have any of you tried to lasso a bear yet? I haven't even seen one in the game yet, but I don't think I've even been to where they usually are though.

I haven't ran into any bear yet but i was bummed to see i couldn't ride a deer when i lassoed it.

The only time I've run into a bear was after I accepted an invite and was mauled by one as soon as I spawned in free roam

Are there any cougars in Mexico? if so where? Also noticed my first huge glitch I was doing a stranger mission and when I went to complete it the person was invisible, but they were sweeping so the broom was just floating in the air LOL.

I gotta say...after all of the glitch videos I've seen, I finally ran into my first and I think it's the funniest one yet. I walked into a room where a woman was sitting at a desk. As I got closer I noticed she was in the sitting position with no chair under her (Basically just sitting on air)....the chair was on top of the desk in front of her....very subtle but I couldn't stop laughing once I finally saw it.

I really hope the glitches don't put people off as well....In no way does it ruin the game. I am really impressed by RDR - there is just so much to do. I approached a camp site where two people were having a fire, you can literally just walk up and have the option to sit down with them while they tell stories. After a game of horseshoes on the McFarlane ranch, I heard I violin playing on the other side of the building...walked over and everyone was sitting around the fire (night time) just relaxing watching the violinist play (i think it was a violin??) - I didn't even catch myself just chilling out for a second as well.....good stuff....then the horse i've been using since the beginning of the game got attacked by a pack of coyotes and killed....the one little fucker went right for his neck and was at one point hanging from it.

I saw a guy on a chair that wasn't there.I really haven't encountered too many glitches although had the game freeze a couple times and some troubles like other with free roam.I did have my best free roam session tonight as far as staying connected which meant i died a whole lotta times but least i upgraded from a donkey to a slow horse

I deleted my saves, cleared my cache, and started fresh. So far so good. I'm hoping I just had a corrupted save.

Finally got the game and hopped on for a little bit last night. Let me just say, like so many of you last week, I'm pretty much hoping I break my leg or something in the next few days so I can actually play for more than an hour.

I need to get back into the single player. I've spent the last couple of nights just messing around with a bunch of folks in Free Roam. Hearing everyone finish the game and their reactions is really making me want to move forward.

Yeah my brother had to do that too. He had only played single player for maybe an hour, and then the next he went to play it would just hang at the loading screen every time he tried. MP would load fine from the start screen. Since deleting his original save, it's worked fine.
