Where is the easiest place to get the poker trophy? Is it in the village where you first me Landon Rickets, or is there a better place later on?

Found them up in Aurora Basin all the way up North. Threw out some bait and a bunch of them showed up.

I unlocked the buffalo rifle tonight, the thing is a one shot kill on anything, even bears.

how do you unlock the buffalo rifle?

oh and I found a fast way to save....get at least two horse deeds...and when you want to save, anytime....just switch the horse breed...instant save..

I had another glitch during a bounty run in Mexico. Same thing as before, screen froze, went black, and I was out of the game.

I have to admit, I like this game alot, but it has not nearly lived up to all the hype it was getting. The story is great, but the glitches are just killing it for me.

Well there was one minor glitch....I was in a town, doing nothing when an eye witness popped up...I ran over to him, not knowing what it was, and paid him off...ok I thought...then another Eye witness popped up......and then another, and my bounty started growing...I ended up loading up the save and that fixed it...

I've only had two major glitches, but the I only remember one. When I first got my lasso and I went to meet up with the ranchhands, I accidentally lassoed one of them and the game froze. Other than that its working pretty good.

The in game freezes are more annoying than anything. The crippled MP has me the most upset. I only bought this on PS3 to play with friends and family and I can't do that because Rockstar apparently forgot to hire beta testers.

There are lots of beavers running around near the water in Great Plains. Be careful when putting out bait to find them though, wolves also love the area. And cougars. And buffaloes.

Have to get up to level 5 or 6 in the hunting challenges.

While hunting I have found the cougars and wolf packs to be a nuisance ( I have yet to meet the bigger animals yet like the bear). How the heck am I going to kill at least 5 wolfs with the knife? Do I need to use the bait?

I hogtied the woman who tries to sucker me into a robbery and then dropped her off on the tracks and the train just got stuck! I had to shoot her just to get the train to move!

I've only had two glitches, both more funny than anything:

1. I was riding along and found a suitcase floating mid-air in the middle of nowhere

2. I was walking next to the train as it was leaving town. About 20 seconds later the game teleported me to where the train was outside of town. I just turned around and walked back.

Only glitch I got was I got on the train and it would never leave just cycled through the different views. Not even completely sure this was a glitch or if I had to do something to get it to leave.

Playing on the 360, and besides the occasional slow down, the game has been rock solid.

Just finished up Mexico last night, think I'm at about 18 hours played.

Here's something kind of dumb that I found in the game. I was doing a bounty side-mission, going after a member of the Ballard Twins gang. I decided to put on the Ballard Twins Outfit to see if I could get in close to the wanted guy, which I did no problem. So I'm walking around amongst the bad guys, and one of them kind of wanders off far away from the pack. I decide to go after him and see if I can quietly kill him without alarming the others. I come up behind him with a knife and trigger the slit-throat animation, and I'm thinking "sweet!" Well then Marsden does his thing he always does on the bounty missions: yells out the name of the guy he's coming after, which of course alerted everyone else! Kind of defeated the purpose of my Splinter Cell-style stealth kill.

That's really funny. I sorta hope bounty hunters do that in real life.

I was surprised and pleased last night by the way a storm rolled in through the single player last night. clouds in the distance -> over cast -> light showers -> wind and rain -> thunder lightning and back .

I thought the wolves one would be hard too but it wasn't. Just find a good spot and swing away at the knife when one comes at you. They died fairly quickly. Took me about 2-4 minutes on one try. Didn't need to use bait, just rode around til I heard some chasing me.

I'm still pretty early on, how can you tell what kind of horse you have? I was about to hitch up my horse (the same one I got from doing that horse breaking mission with the McFarlane's) go in and save and someone out of nowhere goes "Help me out that guy just stole my horse!" So I go chasing after this guy's horse, killed the guy that took it and right when I'm about to lasso his horse I get attacked by a cougar and my horse get's killed. So I take him his horse back and after I get off I do the thing where I whistle for my horse and some random one comes running. It's definitely not the same type of one I had before but I'm not really noticing very much difference riding it around.

It says I'm linked but it stopped after just the opening mission (1.5%) and doesn't have anything since then. How can I get it working again?

I've tried manually saving and entering private free roam. Nothing.

There is a note that says they're working on a fix, but some of my friends' lists are still updating. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer.

The Social Club servers seem to only support about 10 concurrent users. It took me several tries to connect for my DLC and to sync my account. My guess is that your console tried to connect during "prime time" and wasn't able to sync.

Thanks. I'll try that. The cougar is more of a pain because with one lunge, they can take out your horse. Very annoying.

Hopefully you didn't overwrite your saved data because it happened to me and I restarted from the last save again just to make sure.

In regards to the exclusive preorder downloads, I have the War Horse and the Golden Gun pack and I have to say that the horse is definitely worth it. Comparing the War Horse with the horse that you get from horsebreaking at the McFarlane's ranch mission, you can notice the different on the speed of the horse while chasing or following people.

The golden guns are not a big deal IMHO. I didn't notice that much difference with the fame boost that it supposed to give you.
