I'm on now. Got a couple hours. Message me or post here when you're ready - I'm gonna practice some.

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

I guess we can't play yet Herd. I don't see the option to challenge to a league game - maybe because it's my 12th series and I haven't even done 5th yet?

I tell ya I'm getting fairly frustrated with this. I haven't played since last week and I already got dinged with an L (my only one) since I didn't get hooked up with my opponent and now I have about 24 hours until the next expires and I have a concert tomorrow. I don't know why I can't get a game. I'm going to be home most of the weekend - hopefully it turns around.

He's pretty far ahead on my schedule too but we can try when he gets on.

I'm pretty sure he posted saying he had a game scheduled with you. You can see which games on your schedule are playable. If they are blue or red then you can play them. The ones you can't play yet will be gray.

As soon as my wife's movie is over I'm getting online. If anyone is available and on my schedule I'm down to play. It is 9 my time and I plan on being online by 9:30 my time.

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

So I don't like how they handle the scheduling. So during series 2 i could have played 5 games but if none of them where against the person I was scheduled to play in series 2 the game automatically sims it for you. I don't get a break for playing five games of the season? Maybe me and the person I was to play in series 2 had a bad weekend to get together. You should get credit for at least playing games to make up for it.

I've had 2 games simmed already, and it looks like this series might have to be simmed too, even though I plan on playing against other people.

Lost sound there at the end of the game - good game shea. I can't believe I'm 4-0 on the road - if only the real White Sox were like this!

Flipperbaby, looks like our game expires tomorrow night. I'm not going to be home after work tomorrow. Shea can we try to resolve this for Saturday?

Damn, Bunkaroo is unstoppable. Really sucks that your record is tainted by that sim loss.

Sorry I couldn't get online to play tonight Herdfan. Got stuck working all night.

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

LOL I think I just have a lot of late inning luck. My pitching has been fairly solid - except for the Yankee game. Sweaty Freddy Garcia is up next - could be a change coming.

Question - what roster is the league using? I've got a guy in my bullpen I don't even know who it is - I assume he was there for Sox spring training. And I don't have Sergio Santos who is on the current active roster.

Yeah, I'm at the Pens/Habs game tonight. Tomorrow I'm not going to be around all day... unless we can sneak a game in when I get back home tonight. Which is entirely possible since the wife wants to catch up on some Gossip Girl.

I probably won't be home until like midnight at least CST - we're going to a concert in the city. I'm hoping Gator can do something since we know in advance - I'd like to play the game we just need more time. I think it would expire before I get home tonight anyway.

And enjoy the hockey game - Habs will be formidable but they haven't had much rest.

I'm glad we were able to get some rest after that Ottawa series. That was a bruiser.

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

I don't have any say in what happens with the games not completed in time. I don't really know what point there is in me being commisioner if it will not let me decide the outcomes of the games or give an extension on playing times. This is quite annoying as some of our league participants barely log in every three days or do not log in at all for several days.

So those mails we get that a game has been resolved - are those auto-generated? I've gotten a bunch of those. Weird.

GoBlue hasn't been on since the 19th. That's not a good sign for getting our game in tonight.

So, they sim the games that don't get completed? I guess those are the resolved messages.

I don't show any box score or any stats from the game I didn't get in. I'm not sure what the sim would take into account, but I was 3-0 - not sure if it takes your performance in previous games into account or not.

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

I say boot people like GoBlue from the league so noone gets fucked over with a simmed loss from them since they apparently aren't interested in participating in the league they asked to join.

Shea, I know we have a game that needs to be played, any idea what our timer is?

Re: Official MLB '10: The Show PS3 Online League Thread

So the timer is for how much longer you have to complete your next game on the schedule? I never noticed if it says for what number game of the schedule the timer is for. I assumed the timer was for how much time you have left to play another game and it didn't matter which one. Confusing.......

Yeah it seems to be for the next game in line. I played GatorShea last night but my timer did not reset.

I honestly have no clue how the whole timer thing works, just like a lot of stuff in this game has me scratching my head. Like what triggers more games in your schedule to open up and become playable?

I think so and that pissed me off. It should only force you to play one game on your schedule every three days and not the very next game on your schedule. If GoBlue doesn't respond on here or to me online today then he is out. They really need to fix this as there are games we could play if they were not relying on them being just the next few games in the schedule. And yes the emails you guys get are the same ones that I get and they are auto-generated.

Shea, I checked the timer when I went home for lunch and we have less than 9 hours left to play our game. Will you be around today?
