While I'll admit I wasn't much of a Green Day guy and was only aware of their hits, after playing through the first two locations in GD:RB I'm becoming a fan. It's just fun rock and roll.

I don't really play the guitar much these days, but the Green Day songs are a lot of fun on both drums and vocals. I don't plan to keep the disc itself (I got the free export code for pre-ordering), but I think many of the exported songs will be in regular rotation for me on Rock Band 2 and eventually RB3.

Even the regular edition comes with a 1 time use code, it just requires an extra 800 Microsoft Points or $10 to use it. |

I was thinking the code, when a rented disc was inserted, would let me export the songs for much cheaper than buying the game. But maybe I'm completely wrong and just spent $13 for a $10 thing that I have no use for right now. |

No, you're right. $13 for a unique right to spend $10 after rental is certainly acceptable.
Edit: Shit, the Gamestop code doesn't require the extra $10. Damn, I'm completely out of sorts today! :lol: |

Yeah, you're fine spending the $13 - you don't need to own the game, the unique gamestop code gets you the full download no problem (as long as a rental copy is inserted).... which was great because now I can resell my current copy and the export code hasn't been used, so whoever buys it will still have that option.
